@signulll What constitutes as good writing changes over time. Look at what they thought “good” writing was in the 1700s. Humans writing will gradually change. If purely AI, style won’t (unless RLHF).
@nickmmark@DrDiGiorgio They’re not a frontier AI lab, to be able to train their own LLM or even fine tune it good enough for clinical deployment is suspect.
Unsure re: privacy breach - maybe they have a special contract with OpenAI or Anthropic etc
@DrDiGiorgio@nickmmark Agree took them long enough. Many had this idea, but Epic had the monopoly to do it . Any commercial LLM today can do it, and prob reason A/P if given the access to the data.
Wouldn’t doubt EPIC uses an API to a commercial LLM
@DrRafi_ As all things in life , it’s all about risk. Who’s willing to bet their career/life on a diagnosis or treatment plan. To make a call. Make a judgement and go through with it.
@cashpandajesus@DrDiGiorgio The unfortunate part with reviews is it’s a marketing technique. You can pay or promote good reviews. And most are based on how personable you are vs if you’re a jerk. But if you need a surgeon, give me the best. I don’t care if they’re a jerk.
@JonathanWaxman1 Correct. We live with many pathologies but don’t necessarily die from. Another one is coronary artery disease. Most ppl have it, but not everyone dies from it
@njlh6@debugtweets@BenMazer Yes healthcare industry is a very profitable business. Don’t underestimate it. Screening will undoubtably increase revenue for the system.
