"I'm just gonna go ahead and tell you Freddy Fermin is the 11th strikeout victim of Chris Sale."
"I think he's sweeping the leg here. And I think he falls down too after he swings at it."
Well done guys! 🔊🤣
At some point, someone in the Atlanta #Braves organization needs to look in the mirror and see the mistakes they are making by rushing these young pitchers. Is it keeping them healthy? No. Waldrep was rushed back and it made zero sense.
Alex talked again this afternoon about the possibility of not upgrading the rotation and bolstering the bullpen instead and I swear he's trying to send myself and 97% of Braves fans to a mental hospital
Thoughts on the #Hawks trade:
This front office was never going to keep Zac Risacher. That ship had sailed, so they got back really good value for him in getting Dort and Nembhard. The financial flexibility is tremendous for next summer.
The trio of NAW, Dyson and Dort will be unreal on defense. This team has gone from a crappy defensive team to maybe one of the best. Can't wait to watch it.
The Hawks currently have ELEVEN players on the roster who were not on the 2025-26 opening night roster in late-October: (McCollum, Flemings, Carter, Nembhard, Dort, Hield, Wiggins, Kispert, Ejiofor, Landale, Veesaar).
This is the new, post-Trae Young team. There will be more changes, but the path is clear for a very competitive team this season and additional solid players to be added moving forward.
I loved Zac Risacher's potential. I still do and hope like hell he becomes a very solid NBA player. I just gave up thinking it was going to happen with the Hawks. Zach was such a nice young man, though. This GM did not pick Zac, and that seems to matter. Onsi might have loved Zac, but that was a Landry Fields selection. So, there was zero loyalty there, and that seemed inevitable once McCollum started and Zac was relegated to the bench.

The Atlanta Braves nailed their 2026 draft 🎯
From AJ Gracia to Jensen Hirschkorn and others, BA's Ben Badler is high on what Atlanta pulled in this year's draft. The Full BA Hot Sheet Show:

With how deep our draft was, this is insane that so many have signed within 48 hours of the draft ending. An absolute cinema show. I am worried about being able to sign Jack Brenner with what we have remaining but if Ronit and AA can pull off him and Dorland, this draft gets an A from me.
The Braves signed 1st rounder AJ Gracia for $3,997,500. Slot value for the ninth overall pick is $6,675,300. A $2,677,800 under slot deal.

@BravesMILB Excerpt from Garrett:
"This is the best prospect the Braves have drafted in the Alex Anthopoulos era and could reshape our view of the Braves future."
This is two and a half years now that the @Braves have dealt with a ton of injuries. Seemingly it’s happened more here than just about anyplace else. I’m starting to wonder what’s happening behind the scenes as well, or maybe they’re just unlucky….
One final thought about the Braves draft
They picked 9, 26, 48, 84, 112
They got my 14, 29, 55, 68, 287 ranked players
That’s the equal to 2 firsts, 2 seconds, and a lottery ticket arm
Now that the Braves day is done and I’ve fully written up all 5 picks on @BatteryPowerSBN I just wanted to say how much I like this draft. And I believe there should still be money to play with tomorrow for rounds 5-20. The 5 guys they took today have made this system deeper
