@Xtopher_Uzo Many non-Catholics are shocked to read in the Bible itself what is said to be the “pillar & foundation of the truth”: the Church. (1 Tim 3:15)
@Xtopher_Uzo I wish - for Protestant viewers - he would’ve referenced how nothing impure can enter Heaven (Rev 21:27) & St Paul’s description of the (purging) fire many will pass thru to get to Heaven (1 Cor 3:10-15). Not that everything has to be explicitly in the Bible (2 Thes 2:15).😉🙏🏻
My childhood Irish priest became like a grandfather to me such that I named my 1st son Brendan after him. We often poked fun at each other, so on one #StPatricksDay I joked about how St Patrick was from England, not Ireland. I got a look & never made that joke again!😂☘️🇮🇪🙏🏻
@rickbrennanjr@KathleenAMille2@dlongenecker1 Putting “the details of the Lord’s Supper” as “secondary or tertiary doctrine”?🤨 And it’s hard to reconcile “informed by wisdom of the past” w/ descendants of Luther & Calvin straying so far from their defined beliefs (including Luther maintaining belief in the True Presence).
I hate that @AuburnFootball programs quit showing opposing team players & now has morphed into a single yearbook. 😖 So fun to see opposing players AU faced. 1954 #FSU game featured a future ⭐️ at left half (#46) who’d go by Burt & his backup would become pretty famous too!
@ChristineNiles1 My mother lived in Memphis for 3 years (1968-70) after marrying my father & he was in medical school. If you asked her about her time in Memphis she’d say, “I got to see Bishop Sheen once & Elvis twice” (always in that order!). 😁🙏🏻❤️
Your task for today: Find another player whose first AND last name rhyme with the team he played for. I’ve got Ted Cox, who played 17 games in ‘77 for #RedSox. Who you got?🤔😜 (NOTE: There’s never been a Dwight Cox in MLB.😉)
@dlongenecker1 Took my wife & 3 sons there 2 summers ago. They don’t make it easy to find. Going thru The Tower of London is awkward as you see the Catholic graffiti on the cell walls but they (the English) don’t want to really call out how bad things were. Tragic times
@knights_9521@JunkWaxHeroes I never realized that! Terry “Cadillac” Catledge was the guy to watch down here in Mobile when he was at U of South Alabama…then came Jeff Hodge & Junie Lewis. Pretty funny
This giant floral mosaic—made from tens of thousands of flowers—is created every year on Dec. 11 in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe, just hours before millions of pilgrims arrive for her feast.
¡Viva la Virgen de Guadalupe! ❤️
@AnAuburnMan Had the incredible pleasure of meeting him during a #FanDay. He was SO sweet to my young son (who’s now a 2x AU grad) - telling him to come around the table to pose for a pic. A great player & a better person. ❤️ #RIP 🙏🏻
