Curator of GPO-Markers : cast iron telegraph marker posts from the Victorian, Edwardian and Georgian eras, telling the story of pioneering telecomms in the UK.
My last post on here ever. I won't implicitly support @elonmusk and his lying, deceitful treachery. He and the deranged orang-utan need to slink off to Mars, and the sooner the better for this world. Absolute scum. Let's get #LastTwitterPost trending!
MyFlickrYear24 Photo #flickr https://t.co/OrGvF7jc5Y OK, so it HAS been a quiet year, BUT nowhere near as bad as their "stats" suggest. Keep up with the photo hosting, @Flickr, but leave the stats to others! ๐
Been a while since my last #PostOfTheMonth, (As Musk broke Twitter's API) but... just reported is an Eastern #Telegraph Co post in #Penzance, the first identified in the UK. Google Streetview pic. Anyone in #Penzance, would love a better photo of this one in Alverton Road!
@Wendy_Tinkerbel@RSPBDorset They're free to roam across the whole of the super-reserve, only part of which is RSPB. But... despite a LOT of (quite intrusive) signage, I so often see dogs off-lead on the heaths, even during nesting season :-( Everyone seems to think they know better, or THEIR dog is exempt
Well thank you @elonmusk for making a breaking change to your API and not notifying your users. X X (Those aren't kisses; they're me feeling like closing my Twitter, sorry X, account)
What3Words have announced they will no longer provide a free API to convert W3W to Lat/Lng. As such the tool is no longer useful in any way for location-related tasks and I'll withdraw support for it shortly on https://t.co/LreVyHruC7 and https://t.co/4PBdhsC4yX
@sustainablist1@Hantsprints Unlike the ladies who immediately offered their help. And had any of those gents offered, can you imagine the abuse they would have received for being "condescending"? (plus, who would risk getting sued for injuring someone whilst doing something this daft!)
@MR_Doodles54 Is that good or bad? I turn my heating off at night, and 16 ยฐ during daytime is a darn sight better than many people in the UK can afford. Veganism is the next big thing, and avoids the issue of Halal / kosher and (most) allergies etc. Seems like a wise move, for once :-)
@HumanityHoax@Bryanireland@ciaranmcasey Kids conceived during lockdown are, well, "unlikely" to feature in the stats for 5-year olds. But yes, the chart is pretty meaningless on its own...
@Telegraph Like most things, it's not an either/or choice. It's not for some people, for sure. But don't write WFH off as rubbish - for SOME people, SOME jobs, it's perfect. I've WdFH for almost a quarter century, and won awards for it; and I wouldn't want to do it any other way.
@clearSNR@GarethM79@WorldBollard The restriction is there to prevent lorries from using the road; there's a business park around the corner and it's inappropriate to have large commercial vehicles use this residential street. It's not about traffic "calming". Why does every lane need to accommodate a bus??
