My best friend is the epitome of "if they wanted to they would". She and I have been best friends for about 8 years now. She has seen me at my bottomless pit, we have fought and argued, we have grown - together and apart and together again. I'm currently living 6.15km away.
And even when we were in the same country. I have a habit of getting lost in my head and self-isolating. Just disappear from anyone who isn't living with me.
And she'll shoot a text "hey, how are you? Are you alive?" And we'll talk about the most pointless things.
Hardest thing for me to grasp as an adult is you have to keep showing up no matter how you feel. You have to do it when you’re sad, do it heartbroken, do it grieving, do it tired. Life doesn’t care, it waits for nobody, you just have to keep going
I agree with respecting how people respond to things and being a compassionate human being. But I've also experienced a person who uses "sensitivity" as a crutch to excuse a complete lack of emotional regulation and accountability ie emotional abuse of others around them.
“stop being sensitive” no‚ you stop being insensitive. respect how people respond to things and situations what’s little for you might big to others. if you can’t empathize with other people’s emotions‚ at least learn to respect different levels of sensitivity.
@MrsMiguel2@soymeii I... did not understand this. Could you explain the vibrational thing? Is it like the energy frequency that people have that are compatible to your own?
