@TeresaKalmbach@EducationLaw2 Many students are not aware that if they walk out, they could be disciplined. When schools explain the First Amendment, they need to explain school rules regarding this. #educationlaw2@EducationLaw2
@EducationLaw2 Students have rights but all their rights regarding the 1st Amendment doesn’t apply in school. Schools have rules and regulations that could hold them accountable. Peacefully protesting to get a message across about gun control isn’t a bad thing-guns don’t kill people, people do.

@EmilyLPatrick1@EducationLaw2 What about the parents that claim they’re homeschooling but actually aren’t? If children are required to pass a test every 3 years in Georgia then I think that parents should have to take a test first to ensure their knowledgeable.
@katelynmoore78 @EducationLaw2 Home school is not the same because a lot of parents claim they’re homeschooling their children but really aren’t. I don’t think an unqualified person is knowledgeable enough to teach children especially in the upper grades.
@3Rachel3King3@EducationLaw2 I believe children should be guaranteed FAPE but if a child is violent and harms their teachers or others then I do not think they should continue to be allowed to stay in schools. Special Ed. teachers do not make any more than regular education teachers-is it worth that?

I do not support the “zero-reject” policy because I have witnessed a Special Education child beat up his teacher giving her a black eye, leave bite marks and scratches on her, and slap several of my students. That’s not a safe learning environment!

Homeschooling is increasing but I wouldn’t say that it is equivalent instruction. Parents who have little or any education should not be considered knowledgeable enough to provide academic support to their children especially in the upper grades.
