@PeterKnigh34577@danielmgmoylan The EU are not being difficult, they are protecting their joint interests (as they did for us when we were a member). We have now left and so are a third party country subject to third party requirements. I’m sorry you didn’t understand what you were voting for.
@danielmgmoylan Whats the reasoning behind you thinking it has nothing to do with Brexit that British passport holders cannot go through the EU channel? I’m genuinely curious.
@SeddSezz Me, I’m with the science where there is complete consensus. I don’t know, I just trust it more than old blokes pontificating on their conspiracy theories and ‘knowing what’s best’ based on ‘what they’ve heard’.
@robprogressive Capital gains are income. You invested, your business plan should have balanced to allow you to operate and take an income. The gain made by selling is also an Income. You should pay, ordinary people invest their labour, often at personal risk, and pay tax.
@policylaila Actually capital gain isn’t capital. It’s the income gained from investing that capital, so it’s income, the same as a salary, so should be taxed as such, the only capital the ordinary person has is their labour, they submit this often at great risk and have to pay.
@DaveKent101 Whoah there, I’m working class from council estate in the north, I can tell you working class humour is not making racist or abusive remarks, that’s just abusive and racist. Don’t insult my working class background by saying we’re the same as him, we’re not, we’re better.
@ClaireCoutinho What ban, de facto or otherwise, are you talking about? Businesses, including house builders will do the minimum req’ by regulations and top up with things that attract customers, if customers are not asking for AC then they won’t fit it. Is there something we don’t know?
@afneil I agree, that bit seems totally weird, plus come of the other stuff is horrendously mundane, just the sheer excess being damning, not the purchases. I wonder if he had/has a medical condition?
@GrahamBridge3 I was 20 in 1976 & remember it well, but also aware that heat records then have since been broken. But don’t understand the rest, global warming & Ozone studies was news then, + in 1976 there was no mention of ‘bloody’ mobile phones or PC’s but I don’t dispute they exist now,
@ClaireCoutinho What ‘de facto’ ban are you talking of? AC units are freely available to purchase and install, they can work brilliantly with solar systems as well for tbose who value chesper running costs. Going renewable really makes wconomic sense if you want energy on tap for home comforts
@peteinbarr95647@FlyFifer10@margatesunsets Well…who do you think organised the stand pipes and kept water flowing for most of us during that time if not the Govt? Remember, we still owned the water then before it became a profit centre for the rich. 1976 has long since lost its record for hottest summer though.
@Jenny_1884 64 years and still such a stranger to British laws and customs. We are a patriotic country that believe we don’t need to shout our pride, it’s called British understatement. There’s lots of films and books that you might like to look at to understand us better.
@craigmrosie@Jenny_1884@tisi_28 Why do you need to fly a flag, or even 4 flags, of the country in which you are living? You seem to imply patriotism, but did your parents fly a flag? If not are you saying they weren’t patriots? Question your insecurities & to be patriotic pay your taxes and support your country
@caribbeanlifexx@AndyBurnhamGM@DailyMail Surely you can’t be happy with a system where a terraced house in a rundown area of Middlesbrough pays the same as a multi million pound house in Knightsbridge? I think most of us support progressive taxes, at present it’s all weighted toward benefitting the rich.
@TexasTaff@AndyBurnhamGM@DailyMail I think you might be optimistic about the scale of illegal dumping operations and the relationships with land owners and criminals. It’s big business run by ruthless people, I think you would be surprised who are involved.
@sirleftyfarr@Sueq1972@AndyBurnhamGM@DailyMail Which particular taxpayers are paying fo & which property are you are talking of? I’m probably dopey as you call people, but do you own a house for 20years & it hasn’t increased in value? What precisely is your accusation? He’s a metro mayor so is it Manchester paying?
@SamaHoole I don’t understand what I’m reading, the photo is AI, but is this dialogue based on any true discussion as the role of activist appears to be merely a feed to the farmer’s argument?
@TheMotivorMB@DeborahMeaden In the last year? I think the Reform data is based on the past 12 months is this the case with your numbers? If so then we should be told I reckon.
