Munitions of war – flagged as International Traffic in Arms Regulations goods – travelled through Irish territory in the past few hours on their way to Nevatim IDF base in Israel.

Eamon Ryan told the Dáil last week, 'There is no mechanism by which my department will have knowledge of the type of cargo that is being carried on such overflights.'

The Ditch however – using Fedex’s own tracking system – knew seven hours in advance that this Memphis to Cologne flight was carrying munitions to Nevatim air base and that it planned to use Irish sovereign airspace.

In the past two weeks The Ditch has repeatedly alerted government to the illegal carriage of munitions on this FedEx route.

After reporting on 10 October that the Memphis to Cologne route was still being used to transport weapons components, the flight route abruptly stopped using Irish airspace.

Twelve days later and FedEx is once again using Irish territory to carry munitions to Israel on this route.

Eamon Ryan was a pretty good Minister for Transport and Energy.

- Improved local links
- Safer cycle lanes
- 90-minute fare
- Reduced cost of public transport
- 50% reduction for students/young adults
- Increased number of flights from Dublin Airport
- Improved local links
- Removed planning permission on residential solar panels

If our planning system had been a bit better, a lot more energy infrastructure work would have been done, and we might be on the way to building the metro.

I don't have strong opinions on the Greens. I like some of their policies and dislike others.

But one thing I credit them for is making changes. People may not like them, but any change is better than rinsing, repeating, and kicking the bucket down the road.

The Greens have a massive astroturfing campaign to overcome. With car lobbyists, land owners, and strong commercial interests, it's a miracle they got anything done.

And I think Eamon Ryan had a part to play in that.

How much money has been gifted to religious bodies from 2018 to 2022 from capital building projects?

I made a FoI request and I got the answer.

It's €5️⃣0️⃣2️⃣m

That's €100m on average per annum of tax payers money given with no strings attached to religious bodies.

It doesn't include the capitation grants of over €100m per annum that keep these buildings heated and in good repair.

If we did, it would be safe to say approximate €1 billion was gifted to religious bodies by the State in the last 5 years.
