Deeply saddened and shocked by the passing of K. Bhagyaraj sir.
It feels especially unreal because I had the opportunity to meet him recently at Khushbu’s daughter’s wedding and spend some time with him.
Bhagyaraj sir was a creative genius whose contributions to Indian cinema go far beyond what many people know. He was the original creator behind stories that went on to become landmark Hindi films and career-defining milestones for so many of us.
Woh Saat Din, adapted from his work, became one of the most important films of my career. Mohabbat, with its story, screenplay and dialogues by Bhagyaraj sir, not only gave us a memorable film but also helped launch the journey of Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria as producers through Maruti International.
Later, Beta, another adaptation of his brilliant writing, became a blockbuster and remains one of the defining films of its era. Boney and I had acquired the rights and passed them on to Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria during a difficult phase in their journey. The film went on to become a massive success, with all of us receiving tremendous recognition.
Another remarkable example of Bhagyaraj sir’s brilliance was Mujhse Shaadi Karogi. Directed by David Dhawan, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, and starring Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra, the film’s story and screenplay were by Bhagyaraj sir and adapted into Hindi by Anees Bazmee. The film became a major success and marked another important milestone in Akshay Kumar’s career.
The seeds of all these successes were planted by Bhagyaraj sir. We adapted his stories for Hindi audiences, but the true creator was always him. His writing touched countless lives and careers, mine included. He helped shape the journeys of actors, filmmakers and producers across generations, often without receiving the recognition he truly deserved.
I will always remain grateful for what he contributed to my career and to Indian cinema as a whole. His legacy will live on through the stories he created and the countless people he inspired.
My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and loved ones. He will be deeply missed.
Rest in peace, Bhagyaraj sir. 🙏
I don’t claim to know everything bro… so educate me if I am wrong. But I don’t see atrocities of ‘women’ on ‘men’ at all. I see some horrible incidents of sociopathic human beings who happen to be women, committing horrible crimes. On the other hand… I see a self sustaining system that has lasted centuries that suffocates women… that through invisible, everyday micro aggressions, forces them to shrink their identities. That doesn’t offer them an equal world. This is from my perspective. I’ve seen so many women around me suffer silently because of it. And I chose to convey that through this story. I felt responsible for it as a man… because I benefit from the power equation.
I haven’t read the details of this particular case yet… I will do so. And if there’s a story that I find interesting to tell… I will do that too. But it would be about one particular woman committing a crime. Not crimes of women on men. There’s a difference, the way I see it. Mind you, such incidents of crime are ghastly and terrible. But what I was trying to do is completely different. Had nothing to do with such crimes.
Vikram in The Girlfriend isn’t a murderer or a *^%ist. There is no physical abuse. He is in fact faithful. And yet… there’s one section like the original tweet that gets triggered by the film. Ask yourself why that is. But sure… if you or anyone else has a problem… call it out. It’s a healthy habit. I promise to take the feedback and introspect. It’s wonderful for all of us to talk to each other and try to understand each other.
The mudslinging and cheap character assassination of corporate culture is being shamelessly normalised by a certain section of people who have never once stepped inside a proper corporate office in their lives.
These are the same individuals who lack even the basic qualifications or exposure to understand how a professional workplace actually functions…where men and women work shoulder-to-shoulder, day after day competing on pure merit.
They cannot fathom the sight of confident women dressed in sharp formals, carrying themselves with dignity, putting in long hours, taking on challenging projects, going toe-to-toe with male colleagues, and achieving genuine success through hard work and competence. For them, this reality is alien and deeply threatening.
Especially the ones hiding behind fake profiles like this on social media…a pathetic catfish who has to steal a woman’s backless photo as his display picture just to get noticed and feel relevant online.
These are the unqualified, frustrated voices who have never cleared a proper interview, never built a real career, and probably never even received a professional salary slip. Many of them are either completely jobless or, at best, sitting in some tiny family-run “baap ka dhandha,” doing all the manual labour themselves like a mazdoor …with no staff, no team, no growth, struggling to make meagre money just to pay basic bills. Some still have to ask their fathers for money to buy a decent cellphone or any small upgrade in life.
And yet, every single day, they watch from the sidelines with burning envy as women step out of their homes, go to proper jobs, earn their own money, make independent decisions, command respect in meetings, travel for work, and build lives on their own terms.
This sight shatters their fragile ego and outdated worldview. So instead of improving themselves, they resort to the only thing they’re good at….maligning these women with dirty, baseless slander, cheap jokes, and toxic generalisations about “corporate culture.”
This isn’t about culture or values. This is pure, unfiltered jealousy and insecurity masquerading as moral policing. The same people who couldn’t survive a single day in a competitive professional environment are the loudest critics of those who actually do.
Pathetic. Weak. And painfully obvious.
2026 as a verstappie 🗣️🗣️🔥🔥:
"rbr doesn't look that bad" during pre season
> p6 in australia
> dnf in china
> p8 in japan
"MAX VERSTAPPEN WINS HIS SECOND NLS RACE"
> dsq cause team can't count
"max lead is over 30s in his 3rd nls race 👀"
> space sized hole at the front
That was a sitter. Can't but feel sorry for Rutu, things just not going right for him. Maybe his confidence is low, affecting both his batting & now fielding? Wishing he bounces back strong soon. Too good a player.
🚨Some of Suresh Raina Masterclass that are proving right today!!
- In 2024 he suggested Travis head & also bought him in mock auction
- Backed Rizvi to do wonders in future
- In 2025 he criticised coach & management for poor auction strategy
-In 2026 he picked Sarfraz & predicted him as a very crucial player for CSK
And he got trolled massively by a certain section of CSK fc. But all of his decisions were right. Still some people think he shouldn't be there in CSK setup just bcs he doesn't have sophisticated words to talk...
