@JerroldLevy I think TEG is more sensitive than traditional coagulation tests and D-dimer. Anecdotally, I have observed surgical patients with GNR septic shock have prolonged R-times with no other TEG abnormalities and normal PTT and INR. >50% mortality so very acutely ill subset of SIC pts

Now it’s standardized (we have 70 intubated patients so far and 500 in house with Covid):
Left IJ Triple lumen
Right IJ saved for shiley (about one third need)
Rt radial a line > rt fem

@NYGovCuomo What are we doing for compensation for the frontline teams? As a resident physician, I am asked to provide frontline care but am making ~$10/hr. Is any part of the stimulus directed towards compensation for frontline providers and resident physicians? We deserve more.

@realDonaldTrump @AmCollSurgeons If residents and fellows are being asked to staff Covid ICUs it's ridiculous that we are getting paid ~10/hr. We are putting our lives on the line. This is not education, this is service. Those of us on the frontline deserve better compensation.

@jaffer_amir Agreed! Epidemiological data matter! While Korea gets a bad rap for its prevalence data clearly survivorship is impacted. I believe mortality for #coronavirus is < 1%.
