WATCH: The Nigerian Who Gave Himself the Title "Big Boss" of DODORIMA Rammed a Police Car on Rama III
Thai narcotics police arrested a Nigerian man they call the head of DODORIMA on Monday night outside a luxury condo on Rama III in Bangkok. As officers boxed in his car he reversed hard into one of theirs, injuring an officer, and they smashed the window and pulled him out. Police found 18 grams of cocaine in the car, and when they searched his condo they seized a Toyota, Thai and US cash, money in the bank, and a pile of brand-name goods, about 700,000 baht all told.
Police say he'd been in Thailand more than seven years, starting out running cocaine to tourists in the nightlife areas before appointing himself boss of DODORIMA, which they describe as the Thai branch of a global West African network called NBM of Africa. They say the network moved 380 million baht in the past year alone, with proceeds allegedly wired home to build a mansion in Nigeria. The charity events and donation drives were cover, police say, a way to launder drug and romance-scam money and to get close to well-connected people he could supply.
Investigators say this traces back to Operation Dark Room, the May raid on a Nonthaburi condo where six Nigerians were arrested for running romance scams, and that the money from that operation led to DODORIMA. He's admitted the cocaine and denied the laundering, says his money is from a legitimate fish-export business and that DODORIMA is just friends doing charity. The name, he told police, means "hello."

🇿🇦 Good afternoon, RSA. Tomorrow morning, I'll be at the Cape Town Police Station to lay criminal charges against the Administrator of the Construction SETA. Imagine waking up and willy nilly deciding on your own R3 MILLION salary package! Total madness! Not under the DA's watch!
📹 Wicknell Chivayo’s ex-wife Sonja Madzikanda says she has been arrested after he told police that she stole his phone and leaked a video “of him and a president that’s very compromising.” The video reportedly shows Chivayo meeting South Africa’s Cyril Ramaphosa (see screen grab in frame two) much earlier than their encounter at Pricabe Farm in Kwekwe a fortnight ago. The video would be highly damaging to Ramaphosa, whose office insisted he was seeing Chivayo for the first time during his visit to President Mnangagwa’s farm
Almost a decade ago, eighty five God-fearing South Africans perished at a Nigerian church in Lagos. The government of South Africa led the repatriation of our fallen pilgrims. To date, neither the Nigerian government nor the church formally apologised. The families of the deceased have not been compensated. As South Africans, we did not engage in public outrage, nor falsely or recklessly accused or condemned them Nigerian government or public. We repatriated our loved ones and gave them decent funerals at home.
I went to Marabastad one day to buy a Che Guevara Cuban cap, and the most painful experience was the retail economy. It’s dominated by men from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Ethiopia, the employees are male cheap labourers from Malawi. Our young depressed native men are outside looking for recyclable material to buy drugs from Nigerian men. 💔😭🇿🇦🚩
