I’m critical of elements of Erik ten Hag’s tactical ideas but this picture was my favourite moment of Manchester United’s epic victory over Liverpool.

I wanted Erik to get this job when Ole left. I don’t suddenly think he’s a bad coach. To see this smile was heartwarming. He’s had to deal with so much during his #MUFC tenure.

I sincerely hope he gets it ‘right’. There’s so much work to do to make this United team a serious contender. Our young core of Mainoo, Garnacho and Hojlund gives me hope, and you can add Amad to that list. There’s even more youngsters queuing up to fight for our badge. Man Utd is alive.

We’ll remember #MUNLIV for eternity and I hope this is the moment things change for our coach.

His boys pulled it out the bag. We now need to see consistency rather than just ‘moments’. That’s the next step. Well done, boss. Enjoy the victory like we all are.

Losing Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez and Rasmus Hojlund is just far too much for this incarnation of Manchester United to survive. We have plenty of proof that #MUFC cannot produce a coherent display with 3 players or more out. Fulham are solid and technical; United are the opposite.

You saw today exactly what Hojlund gives United in the 9. His work-rate was sorely missed. Marcus Rashford simply refuses to provide any kind of press, and that misshapes everything behind and wide of a striker.

Overall, no United player covered themselves in glory. To claim an equaliser that late in a game, and to then concede once more, is pathetic.

It’s a tough gig for Erik ten Hag. INEOS, Sir Jim Ratcliffe & Sir Dave Brailsford won’t be impressed. Dan Ashworth won’t be happy with the tactical execution. The lack of intelligence from these players is often frightening. The second half was a terrible mess. #MUNFUL
