Danny Long retired as Athletic Director of the Conroe ISD last April. Danny arrived in Conroe from the Tyler ISD, where during his eight-year tenure he saw in Dereck Rush -- then head football coach at (John) Tyler HS -- a bright future in athletic administration. "Dereck has always been a natural leader. He makes everyone around him better," Long said.
