Considering a church merger? Here are three truths:
• A merger is a new body with pre-existing conditions
• A merger is a hybrid of church planting and church revitalization
• A merger doesn’t automatically bring about financial, numerical and/or spiritual growth
More than 40 years ago, I arrived in Chicago in search of an idea. I was a young man looking for purpose, who believed deeply in America, was inspired by the Civil Rights Movement, and wanted to be a part of something larger. The America I believed in was one where everyone has opportunity, everyone is seen, everyone belongs—because that was an America that had a place for me, too.
@albertmohler But you endorse a pedophile. You invite racist to speak in chapel. Many of your professors are racist. You are a racist. You propose that slave owners, women abusers are the standard for all things theology… you are horrible and the poster child for hypocrisy!

Make those difficult decisions.

Donald Trump is a bigot, and a bigot cannot help but engage in bigotry. What has me scratching my head is all of the bigotry in blackface. How does one find the time to tap dance, lick boots, shuck and jive while simultaneously preparing Sunday’s sermons?
@albertmohler No… you get called a Christian nationalist because you are a bigot, a hypocrite, a racist, a sexist, and not only align yourself with the practices of Christian nationalist but you promote those practices by intentionally misusing and abusing Scripture. In fact you’re a heretic!
