Do you remember when dinosaurs greeted travellers in Terminal 1 International Arrivals? How about the bronze tiger statues in Terminal 1 International Departures?
From Jurassic models to the large aquarium-style installation near the domestic security lines in Terminal 1, art has always been an important part of the travel experience at Pearson. Over the years, the airport has showcased a wide variety of artworks, with some dating back to the 1960s continuing to welcome passengers today.
Others, however, have since been retired.

Yesterday, we honoured 54 firefighters at the Ontario Fallen Firefighter Memorial - a solemn reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and service of those who gave everything to protect others. We will never forget.

From Toronto to Ottawa, our firefighters have finished the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Memorial Ride. The final 167km leg from Kingston is behind them.
Kyle & Victoria rode with 70 firefighters and will honour the fallen at Sunday’s memorial service. 🇨🇦🚴♂️🔥
TP FES was proudly represented at the Canadian International Air Show ✈️ where our commemorative bear took flight - a symbolic gesture showing that the spirit of our team was onboard with the pilot.
🚒 The ceremonial water salute honoured the role of the F-35 in the Air Show.
🚴♂️ Day 1 of the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Memorial Ride is complete. Kyle & Victoria are riding alongside 70 firefighters on a 580km journey from Hamilton to Ottawa. They ride in memory of TP FES Firefighter Ryan McMeeking, whose name will be added to the memorial next year.
