China rural population was going through malnutrition and growth stunting. They increased the 3 yuan to 5 yuan per student per day and made it mandatory for the government officials to eat the same meal as what those kids were eating. They added more meat, more milk, allowed more eggs and tofu for the kids in everyday meal.

Result? 13-year-old males have seen the most growth in height and weight over the decade, with an average height of 7.5 centimeters taller and an average added weight of 6.6 kilograms from 2012 to 2021.

12-year-old female students who experienced the most growth had added an average of 6.3 cm in height and 5.8 kg in weight in 2021 compared to average levels by 2012.

This is what happens when you keep your schools separate from your religious identities and don't do drama and rr on allowing eggs or meat or chicken in the mid day meals.

Wtf?

We are a Protein deficient nation & we must eat more Protein to be healthy.

Similarly, we lack strength training & muscle building culture & that is something we have to promote.

There is absolutely nothing to suggest either of these are harmful, neither literature (which these people won’t read) nor common sense.

Do we know if this person was on some performance enhancing substance? Do we know if he had some congenital issue?….

Bashing Gym & Protein at every opportunity will simply push our country that’s already regressing when it comes to Health matters will simply make it worse.

a man died and your first instinct is to use his body as a billboard for your half-baked take on fitness being a scam.

"gym and protein deficiency are the 2 biggest scams" brother, do you hear yourself? a bodybuilder died so now lifting weights and eating protein is a scam?

by that logic, every time someone crashes a car, driving is a scam. every time a pilot dies, flying is a scam. every time a doctor gets sick, medicine is a scam.

this is what we've become. someone dies and we immediately mine it for likes. quote tweets. a chance to feel smart by dunking on people who actually put effort into their bodies.

let's talk about the millions who didn't die.

millions who reversed their diabetes by lifting weights and eating right. millions who got off blood pressure meds because they started moving their ass. millions who aren't gasping for air climbing two flights of stairs anymore.

millions of men and women who were told by doctors "you have 6 months to turn this around or you're looking at serious complications" and they did. they turned it around. in gyms. with protein. with discipline.

outliers exist in every field. bodybuilders push extremes. some use gear. some don't. some die young. most don't. but you'll grab the one case, wave it around, and pretend it represents the whole thing.

and the worst part? people will eat this up. they'll retweet it. they'll feel validated. "see? gym is dangerous. protein is bad. i was right all along to do nothing."

if you actually cared about health, you'd talk about balance without waiting for someone to die first.

but you don't. you just wanted the clicks.
