Four cast members from the 1980's Poltergeist trilogy died across a six year span from 1982-1988. These included stomach cancer, a heart-lung transplant & a bowel obstruction killed Heather O'Rourke at only 12 years-old.
Three main cast members from the TV show GLEE died from 2013-2020.
Four cast members from Beverly Hills, 90210 died from 2019-2024 including Luke Perry at 52 years-old from a stroke in 2019, Shannen Doherty after a long battle with breast cancer (diagnosed in 2015, cancer returned in February 2020 to stage 4), David Gail in 2024 (intoxication from amphetamines, cocaine, ethanol & fentanyl) & Joe E. Tata in 2022 at age 85 from alzheimer's (diagnosed in 2018.)
Todd Bridges is the sole surviving member of the original cast of the TV show Different Strokes. The 3 other cast members died between 1999 and 2013.
One of my favorite TV shows is Everwood. Four cast members died from 2019-2023. These include Stephanie Niznik at only 52 years-old who died suddenly of "natural cases" in June 2019, Treat Williams died in 2023 (motorcycle crash), John Beasley in 2021 at the age of 79 (liver issues) & Anne Heche died in 2022 from injuries due to a car crash.
None of these deaths were caused by COVID.
There's no evidence a single of the tragic deaths recently from the Buffy cast were COVID related in ANY way.

Michelle Trachtenberg died February 26, 2025, at 39, from complications of diabetes mellitus. She had received a liver transplant & appears to have developed post-liver transplantation diabetes mellitus (PLTDM), which develops in roughly 30% of transplant recipients & is associated with reduced graft function & worsened patient survival.
Nicholas Brendon had a long history of substance abuse issues, had a previous heart attack and was later diagnosed with a congenital heart defect. This all contributed to his death.
Anthony Head died at 72 from complications related to pneumonia.
Over the 20-year span from 1999 to 2018, there were nearly one million pneumonia and flu deaths among Americans 65 and older, accounting for 86% of all such deaths.
Those sadly were not the only deaths from the TV show Buffy or the spinoff ANGEL (two of my favorite shows of all time.)
These include Robin Sachs who died February 2013, at 61, from a heart attack.
John Ritter who died September 2003, at 54, from an aortic dissection.
Glenn Quinn died December 2002, at 32, from a heroin overdose.
Andy Hallett died in 2009, at 33, from congestive heart failure after a five-year battle with heart disease that began with a dental infection that spread to his heart.
Sadly people die in the world and this happened before and after 2020.
Even in Hollywood.
There is no evidence a single death from Buffy, The Vampire Slayer was related in any way to COVID, before or after 2020 nor can you show any.
Exploiting deaths to push a narrative without actual proof (or even any evidence the death occurred post-infection) is shameful behavior and should be called out no matter who is doing it.
It's exactly what anti-vaxxers do when celebrities died post 2021.

1) His citation from the Lancet is a commentary/opinion piece (not original research) covering excess deaths in England from June 2022 to June 2023.
It can't tell you anything about 2026.
Worse for him, the authors attribute the excess to multiple causes: direct COVID effects, acute pressures on NHS services producing worse outcomes & disruption to chronic disease detection and management during the pandemic years.
In the USA we know that excess deaths were driven by COVID in 2020-2022 but historic highs in drug overdose deaths, alcohol deaths, gun violence deaths & deaths from missed medical care were significant contributors! (The USA is NOT a healthy country.)
2) "Excess deaths have increased since 2020" is objectively false as of now.
That was true through mid-2023 but it REVERSED afterward.
England and Wales were back on pre-pandemic mortality trends already back in 2023!
