40% of Florida students are below grade level. And check this out, administrative growth outpaces growth in students & teachers. We are forced to pay property taxes to fund failure.

@FLFlowerArtist @j_fishback See below. Administrative staff is a bloated bureaucracy. This needs to change. In fact, IMO the whole public education system needs to be reconstructed. In Florida 40% of students aren’t at grade level. I agree with Elon, the traditional school model is outmoded.

@WebbaBroadside @j_fishback In Pinellas County homeschoolers can participate in school sports etc. They also have more time to devote to participating in the arts and music resources in the community. As for academics, there are co-ops and online resources to go as deep into a subject as desired. No limits.

@MMacholz83279 @j_fishback The homeschoolers I know are very well socialized! They’ve never been shoehorned into a classroom with the same age cohort. They converse easily with people of all ages including adults. Besides studying academics in-depth, they are active in the arts, music and sports.

I agree with Elon: the traditional public school model is outmoded and failing to educate students for the future. It is an administrative-bloated K-12 Daycare floating on a swamp of leftist indoctrination paid by forced property taxes. There are better options!
