@DotProduct3D Doesn't the iPhone Pro already have a LIDAR scanner? What is the benefit of the attachment? I.e. compare this to an app like Scanner3D which uses the built-in camera and LIDAR - explain the differential?
Problem: using Claude Code or Grok Bot to develop web apps for specific purposes, i.e. an interactive stair designer, or window placement matrix that checks windows against certain codes - huge token burn.
Potential solution: having Claude Code or Grok Bot come up with a full specification set for the app, and then having something standalone / preferably local build it. Time is not a concern, if it takes 3 hours vs 20 minutes I'm fine with it.
Question for the wise audience: what IS that "something standalone"? What do you use to make apps according to specs, without burning $ 100s in tokens?
@Fisuram4 Let's start with a roster of technological inventions that would take 100+ tweets just to summarize.
Let's continue with: destroying 80% of Hitler's forces, yes, 80 percent, Google it, at the cost of 20+ million lives of their own. A little fucking gratitude might be in order.
@PermitZIPhvac@PermitZIP Generally, I have found a lot of success with using human input to create boundaries for AI. To then explore possibilities within those boundaries.
@boardyai Maybe it's the lighting. Maybe it's the textures. I just know it needs help and I don't know enough about rendering, so I'm trying to get someone to help me set it up properly and then we can just rerun it on other rooms.
How can I teach my AI to make actually high-quality photorealistic renders? Everything I've tried so far is producing "meh" results. Including skill packs, orchestration, etc. It's like a curse.
I'll even pay for a consultation at this point.
@tanpukunokami Also, consider this: the word "Boob" is the only one that contains 2D views of the object it describes. Witness:
B - top view
oo - front view
b - side view
We should work together. I've developed a bunch of purpose-built "helper apps" that lay out floor plans, design stairs in 3D, trace & measure custom furniture from image, design multi-tier chandeliers, plan windows including heat loss and hurricane-resistance calculations, and much more. This is just a sample of 3 out of 30+. Each one is fine-tuned to a specific task, because there are a ton of details that are very helpful in 1 focus-lane and hella annoying in another; for example, a stair designer that has also ingested the entire building code book and checks IN REALTIME that the stair is compliant, along 40+ vectors. What used to take 2 weeks for a structural engineer to do, I did in 20 minutes. And it's 100% code-compliant and buildable.
Oh, I don't give it access either. I just feed everything into it manually, but the benefit is having a complete financial picture and seeing where the weak points and opportunities are. For example, I have a recurring task that monitors the websites of the credit card companies, as well as certain forums, for promotions and offers, etc.
And if it finds something, it goes into the Morning Brief, like "Discover is offering 5% CB on Amazon for the next 3 months - you should switch the default payment method on Amazon to the main Discover card".
Doesn't have access to any of my accounts, but knows what's going on in there & can do independent research.
AI is very good at remembering things, and very good at following routines once they're set. So for example, retired people who are generally older, they could set up their own health management system, that will keep track of all their prescriptions, doctor visits, diagnoses, vital signs, etc. any new paperwork like doctor visits, discharge summaries, prescription changes, get fed into the system, and it creates a complete medical record. In addition you can set it to do research on your conditions or symptoms, keep an eye out for any new treatments, suggest lifestyle and diet changes to improve health, and just generally become almost like your private medical assistant or personal doctor. It can't write prescriptions but it can tell you to remember to take them. Also you can connect it to monitoring equipment like a heart rate tracker that would send a message or an email if there's a problem and the AI could be checking the mailbox, and perform some actions if it happens like notifying people. Whatever. The possibilities are endless.
