moving my practice from the bedroom to a physical studio space has been one of the best investments and blessings of 2023.
grateful for graphic design🫡
I caught myself doing it, again and again.
And I finally found the solution.
Doom scrolling.
On my phone.
At my desk.
Always.
Constantly grabbing my phone through out the day have been ruining my productivity.
I realized I do it when I switch from one task to another.
And I found the reason why:
➡️ Every time we complete a task, we look for a reward.
And the phone is the nearest and easiest way to satisfy that dopamine craving.
So, I need to replace my phone with other ways to reward myself for completing a task.
Some ideas I have are:
• Watch one episode of 'The Office'
• Get up and walk around
• Read 1 page of a book
• Stretch/Push Ups
• Water the plants
• Eat something
• Read 1 article

And as an ex teacher set up design clinic for students in public schools.
I wanna work from the ground up. I learned design/ux for free, I will pay it forward for free.
Just wanna put it out there.
In the short amount of time that I have been doing design work, there are people who guided me and helped in this career.
I wanna pay it forward by doing some little helping thru design jam and as an ex teacher design clinic
