Here's a controversial opinion:
People should stop choosing partners based on feelings and chemistry. Feelings are the most unstable currency on planet earth. They should rather look at relationships as investment because people fall in love, fall out of love, people wake up the next morning and they just don't feel the same anymore instead of that, they should just be focusing on if they invest on a person, what would the return look like in 10 years. The better question is, do this person make me wiser or more reactive? Do they have emotional discipline or emotional chaos? Do they solve problems or create them? Do they improve my finances or sabotage them? Do they build my future or consume it? because the strongest relationships aren't built on butterflies. We should choose someone who increases our net worth physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually and yes even financially.
Modern dating really shows you how little people give a fuck about your feelings, someone will talk to you every day, build a whole connection, make you feel seen, heard, and valued, and then switch up out of nowhere like none of that ever mattered, leaving you to sit there wondering how it was so easy for them to just not care.
Two givers in a relationship looks like
• He paid for her nails so she paid for his next 2 cuts
• She made the list, he bought the groceries and brought them inside, she put them away.
• She cooked, he cleaned.
• She bought him cologne so he sent her on a Spa Day
• He covered every bill so she booked the trip
• She bought him Js so he filled her tank/detailed the car
My girlfriend once told me something during an argument that stayed with me,
"When I tell you something hurt me, I'm not attacking you. I'm trusting you with a vulnerable part of me. The moment you start defending yourself instead of understanding me, the conversation stops being about the problem and starts being about your ego."
That hit me hard.
i love a sweet sweet MAN 😩😩😩😍😍not a soft man but a SWEET one that is still very masculine and secure with himself. Take you on dates & all that, hold & open doors for you, tells you how pretty you are.. Sends you cute messages every once in a while, just a man who shows you.

After a certain age, you are no longer the product of your environment or how you were raised. It's a personal choice to live the way you do. At some point, blaming your past becomes a distraction from your future.
Healing is your responsibility. Growth is your decision
