"Imagine a math classroom where curiosity and questioning are encouraged, where getting the wrong answer is expected along the learning journey (and not always penalized), and various ways of thinking are celebrated."

@acab1002 A3: this is a tough question. It depends on the T, S, or para involved. What day is it? did the student have interventions that day, so we're focusing on a specific new skill? is there a big assignment due so we're focused on that task? too many factors! #323learns
@acab1002 A2: METAcognition!! All of us need different supports to learn well. If we address this at a cultural level - it brings all Ss in the process of recognizing our strengths and areas where we need support #323learns

Using PLC time more effectively is a great start! SE and GE Ts are often pulled in opposite directions during PLC & SIP days. I'm not sure a "common planning period" is sufficient at the HS level since SE Ts are paired with multiple GE Ts.
@MrsCford_tweets @ChaseMielke @StefaniePitzer A4: a gritty long term goal is to visit all 50 states with our kids. our top rung? visiting Hawaii. My husband says he'll only go if we visit the 49 others first! he's not a beach type.๐#323learns#burnoutcure
@MrsCford_tweets @ChaseMielke @StefaniePitzer A3: I've spent the last decade building babies! (literally 5 kids in 9 years) During that time, I have not cared for myself as I need to. I'm beginning to incorporate more self-care into my daily routine - feeling that boost!! #323learns#burnoutcure
@MrsCford_tweets @ChaseMielke A2: My first work experience was as a summer temp employee at my mom's office when I was 15. I learned how to operate in an office: talk, walk, dress; everything. I learned that I have an uncanny knack for organization. #323learns#burnoutcure
A1: #323learns#burnoutcure#slowchat I believe a common ground survey would be an excellent tool to begin the school year building community and connections in the midst of social distancing and remote learning. 1 question Iโd ask: tacos or burritos?
A4: what is your favorite class - why? This could be level 2, but it usually starts a convo that Ss open up to how things make them feel (shocker - their favs arenโt always where they are most successful) #323learns
A3: I think simple truths compliments and authenticity would really help create a more positive atmosphere and help people see more positives #323learns
@MrsCford_tweets A2: many of my students shared with me that they knew I cared for them and they loved my โmorning meetingโ videos - just checking in. It was rewarding that something so simple as a 3 min video made a difference for them!
@MrsCford_tweets A1: Iโve felt teacher burnout (aside from COVID related issues) when issues arise within the district that affects morale with staff - itโs outside my control, but still wish I could do more in those situations
