Our inaugural project is a series of three events on the future of the university (both TNS and the university more broadly). They're built around 3 large interlocking themes: the politics and practices of the university; effective infrastructure; and scholarship and activism.
The Consortium for Trans/disciplinarity is an alliance between the GIDEST (the Graduate Institute for Design, Ethnography & Social Thought), the Parsons DESIS Lab, and the MFA in Transdisciplinary Design.
They'll be small-scale, informal, but substantive events designed to bring faculty, students, and leadership into conversation with scholars, activists, and practitioners prominent in these debates. The conversations will be documented (as text) and disseminated via our page
