@UKMTB_Chat I have the amazon nestling/ cree lights and they are good for the money (see recent ride in the Quantocks). Batteries aren't great so for this winter coming I shall be getting some new batteries from https://t.co/MNfuSEZ7rv in the hope they are gonna last better!
@lespauljunior3@Orbea Its the 540wh battery&detuned lower torque motor. I've lowered the assist so it doesn't feel too much like a motorbike! When towing my mate on the climbs I was in Boost mode with full assist as some of them were bloody steep lol I've had 110km out a battery on eco before as well
Not long until my lovely @Orbea Rise and I get back to some proper hills!! My local trail just about reaches 180m elevation in 15km, so one of my all time faves, Cwmcarn in South Wales is an utter joy! (and killer)
@lespauljunior3@Orbea I've never had a problem. Was out this weekend in the Quantocks and we covered 40km with 1278m (4200ft) elevation with me towing my mate on his normal bike up almost 70% of the climbs. I finished the weekend with it on about 19% battery showing 36km range left in eco.
@IlminsterSteve@Absolutemtb1 Oh god, don't ask! My mate I have been riding bikes with for over 20 years asks me the same as it is his old backyard having grown up in Taunton! Will be back again next year to tick off more descents!
Rode the Quantocks for the first this weekend, what a wonderful place! @Absolutemtb1 I think you'll likely be in one of these pics in the far far distance! π
PS if you haven't ridden there, do so!
Went out for a gravel pootle this morning and returned home with my first ever 50mile ride under my belt! The house stairs are not my friends now though

@Absolutemtb1 if this was 6 years later (when I am ready to retire) I would be aiming to be your new neighbour(ish) and looking to buy this place π https://t.co/GztqKrXwHL
@Absolutemtb1@ski_57 Honestly mate, if I was nearer to being able to retire I would be all over this! Affordable, near enough to main trains that my partner could still get to London for when she needs to be in the office, and best of all so so close to some amazing riding!
It's get the old DH sled trail ready time again, and for me that means a 2011 Yeti 303 r-DH. So then Kev, @Absolutemtb1, and the group what's the oldest bike you still ride? PS yes they are 26ers π
