Stumbled upon this gem from the @LSELaw YT page. Paused in time, the video discusses 'Is International Law International' a book written by @AntheaERoberts. In a place as diverse as LSE, 5 years on & I still troubled my Profs with the same question (1/n).

#BREAKING: Pakistan’s crackdown on human rights defenders and Baloch voices has intensified, as an anti-terrorism court in Quetta sentenced prominent Baloch activist and leader of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), Mahrang Baloch, to life imprisonment.
According to Pakistani media reports, activists Sibghatullah Baloch and Balach Qadir were also handed life sentences in the same case.
For years, Mahrang Baloch has been one of the most prominent advocates for Baloch rights, consistently criticizing Islamabad’s policies toward the Baloch people and raising concerns over enforced disappearances, political repression, and human rights violations. She is currently in custody.
The verdict has triggered widespread condemnation from Pakistani politicians, civil society groups, and human rights advocates, who view the decision as a serious blow to freedom of expression and the ongoing struggle for justice and accountability in Balochistan.
Congratulations to Major Abhilasha Barak on being conferred the UN Military Gender Advocate of the Year Award. Major Barak is serving as an Engagement Team Commander and Gender Focal Point within the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). This honour is a recognition of her exemplary service and also of India’s longstanding contribution to United Nations peacekeeping efforts. Her achievement is also an inspiration to countless young Indians, especially our daughters, who aspire to serve the nation and humanity.
Concluding a very productive visit to Italy. My discussions with Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni covered a wide range of sectors. A key outcome of the visit was our decision to elevate India-Italy ties to a Special Strategic Partnership, which will add new momentum to our cooperation in the years to come.
I thank Prime Minister Meloni, the Government of Italy and the wonderful people of Italy for their friendship.
@GiorgiaMeloni
I spoke with Ms Lyng - the Norwegian journalist who shouted a Q when Prime Minister Støre and PM Modi were addressing.
I asked her how much she knew about India- given the fact that she made sweeping allegations. among other things, Ms Lyng told me that she hasn't been to India and her exposure is primarily through Indian curries and yoga.
Listen in to the whole conversation :

India celebrated Republic Day with great enthusiasm and pride.
The magnificent parade at Kartavya Path showcased the strength of our democracy, the richness of our heritage and the unity that binds our nation together.
Here are some glimpses…
#BREAKING: India slams New York Mayor Mamdani on his letter to Umar Khalid who is accused in Delhi Riots Conspiracy:
“We expect public representatives to be respectful of the independence of judiciary in other democracies. Expressing personal prejudices do not behove those in office. Instead of such comments, it would be better to focus on the responsibilities entrusted to them.”
Since invading another country is the "ultimate crime" under international law, I trust the US will be banned from all sporting competitions like Russia was, or do the rules not work like that?
Careful silence when the US started killing people in international waters. Careful silence when a Canadian ICC justice was sanctioned by the US. Now we mumble vague things about international law and Venezuela. We’re losing more than just our voice.
The laughable mediocrity mocks rule based order and the dream it sells. It’s hurts one only when one’s tail is on fire. Just hours ago a longish statement by EU said everything yet nothing on something similar that happened in #Venezuela. #Greenland
Over the years, Europe has backed America’s overt and covert military interventions, including in Libya and Syria. European political elites have even applauded the U.S. military action against Venezuela. If and when Trump moves to seize Greenland, Europe will have only itself to blame.
#BBCLauraK to Keir Starmer: "You've been incredibly clear, that Putins attack on a sovereign country, Ukraine, was wrong & ought to be condemned. What about Trumps attack on a sovereign country of Venezuela.. will you condemn that action against a sovereign state?
Venezuela now appears headed for U.S. vassalage. As The New York Times puts it, “The U.S. will provide a vision for how Venezuela should be run and will expect the interim government to carry that out during a transition period, under the threat of further military intervention.” Or, as Trump himself bluntly stated, the interim leader will remain in power only so long as she “does what we want.”
Central to this arrangement is granting Washington access to the world’s largest proven oil reserves. The model is a throwback to imperial history: the way Britain’s East India Company established indirect control over India — then the world’s leading economy — before Britain turned it into outright domination, draining India of its wealth and resources.
