but I think cms is just saying it seems insignificant and petty in hindsight to have reacted so strongly. People were acting like BitClout was going to be the end of humanity lmao

It means more artists can mint their work as NFTs and more ppl can participate in the sales. The downside, though, is that it's easier for low quality pieces to be minted too. Curation and finding undervalued pieces is half the fun, though.

NFTs just launched on @BitClout during a historic past few days for NFTs in general. NFTs on bitclout are interesting for a few reasons, though:

1. In addition to royalties to the artist, bitclout NFTs can have royalties to the coin holders of the artist's creator coin.

Artists can easily send an on-chain DM to holder's of their art and invite them to special events, private discord servers, etc.

3. Minting NFTs on bitclout is incredibly fast and cheap, as is bidding and buying. This lower barrier is great for emerging artists.

From reading it again it sounds like they are saying a very small amount of btc was sent to an address that had ALSO received funds from hydra at one point. Not that funds from bitclout ever passed through Hydra.
