@WsoccerCa I agree with this argument only as far as defenders and goalkeepers are concerned. For the midfield, I think the most logical explanation is that the NWSL and USL are perceived as superior leagues.
@WsoccerCa I see. IMO, the NSL is better for our youth than the NCAA. Look at Hunter. Chisholm's performance at the U-20 was telling. Gibson is at UBC and did very well. JHG skipped the NCAA and has become tactically very astute.
@brylaura11 They can even spearhead our qualification campaign. However, to key to success--my main concern-- remains the system: can it deliver multiple goals per game, while making us hard to beat?
@diiannigoblue This team is really good at ball progression: they blended one‑touch football with long, over‑the‑top diagonal balls to catch defensive lines off‑guard. Though she hasn’t scored, Sariyah Bailey plays a pivotal role in the attack, drawing defenders and isolating Hunter and Chukwu.
@canuniwsoccer@WsoccerCa JHG has excellent ball control, which h allows to dictate the tempo. She is also very good at evading trackers with sudden change of direction. I like her pairing with Chisholm, who is also having a good tournament at such a young age.
@CHINEMEREMMA993 This isn't new. It is a routine introduced years ago by Corrine Diacre, when she took over the French women national team. The U20 had fun imitating it , with the bonus of scoring.
