For years, Seungmin has consistently shown his passion for music and the stage. He has treated every schedule with professionalism and dedication while contributing immensely to the growth of StrayKids and JYP Entertainment. However, so many management decisions have left us deeply concerned by the lack of fairness and care shown toward him.
As fans who wish to protect Seungmin's legitimate rights, we demand explanations for the following questions to JYP Entertainment and One Label.
1️⃣JYPE's extremely unfair treatment of Seungmin in insufficient screen time
The comeback trailer is longer than 3 mins while Seungmin is shown for only 6 seconds. The trailer needs no physical choreography. Since the company chose to let Seungmin attend the filming despite his injury, they should prepare sufficient filming time and camera coverage to ensure usable solo exposure. A brief, dismissive injury notice cannot justify such an extremely limited presence in one of the comeback's most important promotional materials. With an experienced production team on set, there was every opportunity to film alternative shots that would provide Seungmin with screen time comparable to the other members. The final distribution of screen time demonstrates a serious failure in production planning and reflects an unacceptable lack of fairness in how Seungmin was treated throughout the filming process and daily work in JYPE.
2️⃣ JYPE’s Complete disregard for Seungmin's injury during the filming of RUN IT Music Video
The company was fully aware of the severity of Seungmin's injury during the video filming, yet still required him to crawl forward to place unnecessary physical pressure on his injury. Despite the effort he put into filming, none of the scenes appeared in the official Making Film. The deliberate omission of these scenes raises serious concerns and we doubt that the scenes required may have directly worsened Seungmin's injury in May. Furthermore, why did the company choose to conceal the repeated setbacks and the reality that Seungmin's condition had not fully recovered? How long was the company planning to withhold the truth from fans while allowing him to endure this prolonged physical and emotional struggle?
3️⃣JYPE's arrogance, negligence and disregard to brand partnerships and artist
We fully understand that Seungmin should avoid physically demanding content, such as the Test videos, and we do not expect you guys to let him do so. However, the Sanrio collaboration Challenge could have been completed entirely while sitting down and would have placed no strain on his injury. Instead, the company chose to reuse some videos from two years ago and was unwilling to provide even a simple appearance requiring no physical exertion. It shows a deeply dismissive and arrogant attitude not only toward Seungmin as an artist, but also toward the brand partner. It’s such a failure to uphold even the most basic standards of commercial responsibility and professional ethics.
4️⃣ JYPE’s failure to protect Seungmin's mental well-being
Seungmin has always been a diligent artist who rarely reveals his struggles or places emotional burdens on fans. However, through Bubble, he has repeatedly expressed his strong will to return to the stage and his feelings of despair. Despite these clear signs of emotional distress during a prolonged recovery period, JYPE has failed to provide the protection, support, and care that an artist deserves. The company's continued inaction means they treat the artist as merely a source of profit or a tool to be utilized for commercial gain, instead of a person who deserves dignity, respect, and genuine care.
STAY Stand With Seungmin
