TB JOSHUA 's CASE IS MORE SYSTEMIC THAN RELIGIOUS

In every society, sector or industry there would always be people that would like to use their power to oppress people, we have a government and system in the society so they can protect the citizens from those corporations or individuals, using the law. The problem with a society like Nigeria is that, instead of the law protecting the people, folks that are custodian of the law would rather use it to protect the oppressors against the oppressed.

The ministry of TB Joshua started before the eyes of many of us and it was clear he wanted to use the healing line, a form of humility and good PR to get to the people, just like many religious leader before him. Which was absolutely his right and business. I personally could smell the deception a mile away, but this is Nigeria, people have so many problems, there was serious hardship in the land, people were looking for hope, grace, faith and miracle from somewhere. So all what the government refused to do for them, they sort it from Pastors. And politicians like that, anything that would turn the attention of the people away from the government is powerfully welcome.

The rumors of injustice coming from the church did not take long before it hit the street, together with stories of people dying after going their for healing. The healing scenes were horrific, scary and demonic, just like a movie scene. With rolling on the ground, sometimes slaps, punches and all sorts of drama. Some special Newspapers were talking about it, but no governments officials cared to listen or investigate, the words on the street were also just rumors because no one had the courage to take this cases to the police.

It did not take long before TB Joshua increased the PR on the giving ministry and it was enough to drive down all the negative rumors about him, those that knew the truth found it difficult to talk negative about him, because how would you really explain it, the man looked harmless and he was giving people. They also lighten up the church and made the service more modern. Police protected him and his church, politicians were his friends and he was well connected, so nothing was going to happen to the secrets that could stain him.

The first and the most courageous live interview that exposed TB Joshua that l first saw was that of Bisola Johnson and Prophet Agomoh Paul. They explained everything in details and spoke about some of their involvement in the deception, Bisola even spoke about how she was raped. Agomoh Paul even said a petition was written to the police but nothing was done. TB Joshua response was to call them betrayers and circulate their videos when he was using them to act drama, this did not end there, Bisola was attacked and almost killed, she had to move from Abuja to Ghana to Cotonou, in various disguise. Paul also was shot at by Unknown gun men.

In all this drama, the Nigeria police never called TB Joshua for questioning or investigate this case to get to the root of the matter and provide justice. All the politicians at that time looked away and did the touch not my anointed approach and do my prophet no harm , no matter what he did.

This is a case of people getting punched for serving a man, getting slapped, beaten and other forms of assault, in the name of discipleship. This is a case of forceful adoption, rape, teenage molestation of numerous young ladies, passport seizure, no access to phone, putting people in detention and more and yet the police refused to investigate. Why? Your guess is as good as mine, a man of influence, money and power should be left alone, especially since he is a pastor, we should not disgrace him. Let us even assume Bisola and Paul were lying would it not have been good for the police to investigate to get to the root of the matter so they can clear the name of the Prophet and charge the false accusers to court. What Bisola and Paul faced was enough for others not to come out and for them to stop fighting but this two did not stop , l wonder where they got the strength to keep pushing.

TB Joshua is not the first religious leader to protected by the system, and he would not be the last. Late last year a Pastor was caught smashing a Danfo and injuring citizens in the process, with maximum threat on the driver. Nothing was done to him, he was not arrested or called in for questioning, in fact he preached at he service the next Sunday and never apologized. Instead he was lifting holy hands, the same one he used to smash the Danfo windows. Another Pastor in this same Lagos bribed the police with some amount to threaten a former church worker. We live in a society were the police work more for the highest bidder, who are the rich and mighty, so, that no police division could look into the case of TB Joshua over the years is not a surprise to anyone.

Bisola had an interview at ObjecTV media in 2019, she has been speaking out since 2008, over a decade of consistent fight against what is wrong and evil , let us assume she was paid for whatever purpose you can cook up, l believe the money should have finished by now, other people came out over the years including one of TB Joshua 's choir , but none were as loud as the courageous Bisola, who through tears and pain, kept on speaking up.

This week the @BBC released a well detailed three episodes of the atrocities committed by this man, with more witnesses who are bold enough to reveal their names and their faces because they had time to heal, the sad part is that many are again trying to water down the investigation because of their biased attitude of protecting religious figure and their confusion of equating PR generosity to real genuine human kindness. What a real genuine thinking citizen who is still not sure of what they call allegations would do, is to ask the government to call in an investigation on the case, since many of the victims and witnesses are still alive so we can at least get justice for the dead or the living, but no, they did not do that, they resulted in pity party for the dead and claiming BBC is distracting Nigerians, Distracting you from what exactly ? Our hypocrisy is our downfall in this country, we select the evil to fight and we give our politicians, religious men and influential people enough room to do evil and get away with it. We are a country with so much religious confusion which we call spirituality. We are a country with so much religious centers, even built by politicians who steals state and national resources, yet no righteousness.

If you think such an investigation of over 30 witnesses should be thrown under the carpet because of your religious confusion of covering the evils of religious leaders because your eyes cant see behold your nose of PR generosity and staged miracles, then you are mistaken, because some of us who are no respecters of persons but character would continue to talk about it and when we get to power no matter how long it takes, we would open a full blown investigation on this issue and others and make sure everyone involved get justice, including the dead.

For those of you that have real personal experiences and are still afraid to come out, because of the attitude some Nigerians give to issues like this, l would encourage you to do so, you can even take up the case we would join you in demanding for justice. Evil is evil, wickedness is wickedness, regardless of where it is done, Church, Mosque or shrine. For popular people and people in authority that knew about this case for years and kept quiet about it, know that you are a disgrace to the society and a total waste of popularity. it is not too late to help us by coming out to tell your story, even TB Joshua would wish he did before he died.
