As MTN prepares to host the MTN Championship Sports Tournament from April 29 to May 3, I reaffirmed our commitment during a courtesy visit from the MTN management team to making the state a hub for sports, cultural, agricultural, and medical tourism. With world-class infrastructure, Ibom Air, and a peaceful environment, we are strategically positioned for tourism-driven growth.

I also encouraged MTN to strengthen its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts and use its platform to promote Akwa Ibom as a top destination. I look forward to flagging off the MTN Champs event on April 30, 2025, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium as we continue to drive sports tourism and economic development in our state.
