A small thread about my health.
Hi, all! This thread won’t be too long - just a short thread regarding my health. Along with my eczema, severe allergies and asthma and gluten sensitive I have been dealing with chronic every day pain that can be debilitating.
@RachelMiner1 Hi! Would you still be interested in being interviewed by me sometime after New Years? I know it’s bern a long while but I now have the tech, adaptive aids, time and tools to conduct the interview so I thought it was worth reaching out to you. ☺️
Hope is no small, fragile thing. It doesn't rest in only one person or one activity, it has infinite reach & capacity. Let it free, let it keep growing endlessly- Whatever the outcome, may it lead us each toward greater inspiration & energy to create a kinder, more loving world
@Imani_Barbarin Ohmygosh. Mines was 9 exactly the last time they checked. I have no idea what they are now but it’s no telling with my bodies history of defying my wishes.
Text: Shout out to the disabled people who aren’t “inspirational” who are unemployed or stuck with a job they don’t like, who didn’t do well academically and/or had to drop out of school, who aren’t in a position to live and take care of themselves...
Y’all better not start the “When will disabled people have their ‘Black Panther’ ‘Crazy Rich Asians’”
Black and Asian disabled people exist and you can ask for inclusion w/o being problematic. ♿️
Happy #InternationalIndigenousPeoplesDay
Just a reminder that disabled indigenous people exist and due to poverty, racism, colonialism, they are excluded from the disabled community and it’s conversations.
We have to do better! ♿️
when you’re exhausted, tired, burnt out, “push through it” becomes a common mantra. “you need to push through it.” but you dont need that. you need REST. rest and RECOVERY. you need to give yourself that, or your body will force your hand. STOP pushing yourself to failure.
The only reasons I’m back on Twitter currently is to follow @maddisonbush (who I recently randomly discovered on YouTube and have been binge watching - most relatable person ever btw) and change my profile picture.
We want to thank our very enthusiastic audiences AND our amazing cast and crew for making #PURLIE a smashing success! Shout out to Director Mitch Butts for his vision, his creativity, and his inspiration!
