@Armour_02 Yes, since whatever is really distinct from the divine essence is just composite existence. There’s much more arguments that reduce non-filioquism to composition by scholastic commentators. This is just an argument that I thought of myself.

By the way, all denominations outside of Catholicism lead to a composite view of God.

Even if you are an EO or OO that affirms divine simplicity, the corollary of the doctrines you hold to contradict it.

Non-Filioquism = composition
Miaphysitism = composition

@Armour_02 There’s not one definitive definition of what “energetic manifestation” is, but what we know for sure that it isn’t eternal procession by way of the divine essence. So the Son communicates the negation of pure act! Which is just an act-potency relation.
