@Br_Walfrid@Simply_Reds_@PremSportsTV@AberdeenFCSLO@spfl@SPFLWatch I believe official answer is the lower tier seats have received such a kicking over the years - you can see the million shades of claret - we're rotating usage upstairs when possible. But most home fans dislike it for the atmosphere too and it looks poor for the product on TV.
On such days the immortal words in 2002 of former Whitehall permanent secretary Sir Richard Mottram re-echo down the ages: “We're all fucked. I'm fucked. You're fucked. We're all completely fucked.”
A St Johnstone fan contacted me overnight to compare the finances of Borussia Dortmund, Celtic and St Johnstone. So here are the key figures. In terms of revenue, Dortmund have 2.9x the revenue of Celtic, who in turn generate 24.4x the revenue of St Johnstone.
@Thistle2011@MotherwellFC@TheWellSociety I don't even understand what that means. He had a mandate to be on the board and gave it up when he resigned his WS position. That's it. Whatever the make up of the future board, there is no justification for him simply continuing it in unchanged, none.
@Thistle2011@MotherwellFC@TheWellSociety He was a WS representative (along with Feeley) on the board. He made his position untenable when he resigned in summer. Many would say he was lucky to be invited to apply after that. Agree he should have left with credit anyway but can't be expected after statement like that.
@MotherwellFC But we don't need a head of comms, things are absolutely fine...lol. Who on earth signed off on that being published? It'll be forgotten quickly enough but that's embarrassing.
@nmcpht@SIWYfanzine If you use real value rather than headline amount of EB's offer it's definitely more than 50%...and if you include potential KVV add-ons from FCG for promotion, it's well over. I actually have a lot of respect for McMahon for previous efforts but what on earth was he thinking?
From the SPFL to a Top Five league: A Case Study
Fundamentally a player earns a big move from performances on the pitch and hard work behind the scenes.
But content and branding from clubs can also makes a huge difference in properly showcasing talent.
@GavinMcCafferty@TheWellSociety I also suspect the results of the Society vote - which should definitely be published at some point - will show there is actually very little division at all.
@derekwatson89@TheWellSociety I can understand the shareholder vote cancelled but out of curiosity, why don't the Society publish the result to date of their own ballot?
@TheWellSociety Brilliant news if frustrating at the margin. Hearty congratulations to the six, who have been fantastic recently. I'm looking forward to a strong future for @MotherwellFC led by refreshed and strengthened boards.
A fantastic thread with many highlights. Must admit that while I always understand short-term hopes for investment, the view in this debate that fan-ownership hasn't worked was mind-boggling. It's in black and white it has been a huge success, even allowing for some recent bumps.
@10DavidTurnbull@MotherwellWomen And, since fan-ownership came to fruition in 2016, the club has made a combined profit of £2,500,000. Fan-ownership works – support us now as we strive to make it work even better.

@Frazzle@AndrewWilson Depends on definition. If concerned others with investors/benefactors will leave us behind short-term, can say needed but we all know how paying money you don't make yourself usually ends. If your concern is a viable long-term future for the club, it's black and white not needed.
@AndrewWilson Important to clarify that most (I think) aren't disparaging McMahon's entire record. But it clearly started to go wrong post Burrows and that trend accelerated into this year's debacle. I'm confident @TheWellSociety and Brian Caldwell can step up, aided by invigorated members.
