Easiest way is to pray Scriptures.
You can pray:
• Prayers of gratitude (thanksgiving)
• Prayers of forgiveness
• Prayers of intercession (get a list, it also helps with direction)
• Prayers for the will of God to be done on earth.
• Prayers for the salvation of the lost, and for the unity of Believers.
The list is inclusive but not exhaustive.
The quality of prayer is also not in its longevity or eloquence, but in sincerity, and willingness to allow the will of God to be done.
Above all, it is good (and Biblical) to pray in tongues, very very good, as there are lots of benefits from it that the Believer stands to gain. It’s a good gift to covet 😊
The weight you carry is slowing you down 🔥🔥🔥
That's why you feel like you are not measuring up and achieving the goals you set for yourself.
1- ✔️ The weight of your thoughts
Your mind is constantly chatting away about the things that you must do.
But there is a disconnect between that chatter and what you actually do.
So you beat yourself up for not doing enough, or pretend you are doing enough, and none of it translates to success.
You also overanalyse simple interactions and overthink the intentions of others.
You catastrophise and make a big deal out of simple yet irrelevant things.
You stay in one place because of your neuroticism.
You see risk in everything, which stresses you out, and you have no structure for determining the significance level of things you should actually care about.
2- ✔️ The weight of your words
You do not pay attention to your words.
You use them carelessly, and you end up on the wrong side of the people who should be championing your cause.
You also do not have a yardstick to determine when you have said enough.
You give your power away easily, over-explaining to an audience that isn’t sold.
You also feel the need to jump in when there is an awkward silence in a room, instead of letting those situations build your patience and mental strength.
You have not studied the fact that your contribution score matters more than empty words.
3- ✔️ The weight of your circle
You have too many friends.
You trust them all with your ideas.
You attempt to make all of them happy.
Their drama is yours and takes up a considerable chunk of your peace.
Daily, you are exhausted from calls and texts laced with drama.
4-✔️ The weight of your financial obligations
You have assumed the role of a provider to people who do not care about you and who would not lend you a dollar of the money you give them.
You consciously put yourself in the midst of people who drain your finances just for cheap & meaningless ‘thank yous’.
You do not know how to say NO, and you do not have a structure that helps you build wealth.
5- ✔️ The weight of your ignorance
You pay ignorance tax daily because you lack the essential knowledge that can change your life.
You do not read
You do not consume knowledge-based content
You do not invest in your growth.
What you do not know can hurt you.
Most importantly, what you know but do not act on can hurt your chances of success.
All of these are slowing you down.
Could you fix it?
Go and be fantastic today.

My guy got a second class upper in Engineering in UNIBEN (a difficult feat in our time) and he decided not to do anything with it and open a shop selling greeting cards as that was his passion.
He later became a bank treasurer and now runs a fertilizer company. He got the degree but his priorities changed. I think that we don’t understand creative and high agency people enough in our part of the world.
Anyone who can make a first class in physics from UNIBEN is a high agency person. While I believe that we must always find ways to lift each other up, we should also be respectful of the choices people make.
A friend had a first class in accounting but decided that she didn’t want to work in banking anymore and devote time to her kids. Her logic was that it was the same thing her mother did for them that enabled her to succeed. She is also another high agency person who will likely start something once the kids are grown.
Many still don’t understand why I never went into banking till today when I had all the family advantages there. I just loved tech more. I had a first degree in biological sciences and decided not to go to medical school when I also had that opportunity. I got an MBA and did an MSc but decided to use the knowledge for my own business.
I think we should support that fashion business with everything we can and see how it will thrive. If he decides to run for office or run a Buka tomorrow, we will support him because “GREAT UNIBEN!!”
If you broke out of poverty yourself, you can unknowingly pass down a scarcity mentality just by how you speak to your children (or refuse to) about finances.
I need you people to stop this thing you are doing.
Tech is not for everyone. Leave people alone and let them thrive in the field that works for them.
Stop downplaying non-tech career paths, it’s silly.
Friendship breakup will whine you but no panic. Once you get past the initial shock that someone you knew for so long could hurt you — You’ll be okay. Remember, you’ve not met all the people that will love you.
Soon we will be flooded with posts from people sharing how much they achieved in 2024. But, in case someone needs to hear this — it's okay if the only thing you did this year was just get through it.
I get irritated when the only prayer point for single ladies is centred around finding a husband. It’s like you’re conditioning women to think that the only purpose of their singleness is to get married when there are other incredible things they could do too 🫠
If I ran a Central Bank "properly," you would lose your banking license for not providing the full complement of services you were licensed to provide.
Because it takes undue advantage of customers and should be illegal without question. There’s absolutely no reason why people should be paying ridiculous premiums to 3rd parties simply to access their own money in a regular bank account but for the lawlessness of the country.
