It is interesting to note how Akhil’s success comes when he does not play the character that is at the charming self - what he was known for- the looks and style
Just thinking should there have been a cool-off period for Indian cricket team after IPL?
It is two months of grueling tournament with lot of travel, media commitments and trying to constantly prove yourself to be exceptional.
May be, just may be
@SreedharAdabala@netflix Why do you think Barbell got so much influence? People only believe when you get things right more times than you get it wrong
@rushiii_12 If you hating a player because their family members made statements or did some actions that are not aligned with player, then we have a serious problem in our hands
After India's forgettable performance against England so far in this series, few thoughts to ponder upon:
1. IPL is a domestic league with the primary focus on entertainment. Over the years, few players rose over and beyond & they were duly rewarded in the international scene (Bumrah, Hardik, Jadeja, Jaiswal,Tilak, Abhishek)
2. The exceptional performers should be rewarded - say Rinku, Vaibhav - but they have not been exposed to conditions outside IPL (even though there is limited India A, U19 opportunities)
3. It is IPL and cannot expect them to play outside India. We are left with two options: a. Make pitches as diverse as possible ("flat" and "shiny" conditions) and/or b. Use other tournaments to pick and chose the players to national squad
4. The problem with 3.a is it might risk losing attention to the IPL, which lot of audience watch and revenues are generated for the entertainment and excitement. The problem with 3.b is we need strong selection committee which can keep the noise from IPL away in selection, which we observed is not the case
5. The next best option is: Pick the players from IPL who have gone over and beyond & let me be exposed to "non-ICC" events till they get used to those conditions as well.
This is what the team is doing with players right now. I am not as concerned as everyone is. We do not have to win every match as long you are giving the "talented, exceptional" players the platform which they do not otherwise get exposure to. It is always baptism by fire, sometimes you burn, sometimes you rise
My only complaint with the movie is when Maha wants to explain the theme of the movie explicitly through dialogues and when he wants to make political commentary. If the movie suits the commentary am all for it, but there is just one scene where he totally breaks out of the movie
#RaoBahadhur is a satire and comedy, do not let anyone tell you otherwise.
Dialogues are funny. For me, the hero of the movie is Smaran, the pianos just flow with the movie. There is one segment during the end of first half where he gets into Avanti’s style music, when he was in flow state
Alpha also shows the beauty of Himalayas, particularly the whole stretch of Leh and Ladakh in its true might and wonder after a long time in Indian cinema
