Today I first heard about AI Software Factory. When AI can do any task without a human intervention.
Some companies are 1-2 steps behind implementing this.
And then what is left for us, software engineers?
Was on the interview panel today for a Senior Software engineer.
It's interesting how the requirements have shifted. Today with AI, companies don't pay so much attention to hard skills. But focus on leadership, mentoring, knowledge sharing, curiosity and networking
@chaitanya_one I've noticed that people ship a lot of code with the help of AI, but ignore code quality, best standards, some just follow anything what AI says to them. Not sure how I feel about it
@chaitanya_one I get what you're saying. I think I quit X for the same reason. As it's very difficult to produce smth that people will actually enjoy.
But I think the idea is just post what ever thoughts you have and the audience will find you!
@lennysan@netflix Really enjoyed the pod. I even managed to practice Elithabeth's advice how to improve the system thinking. Thank you for the amazing content!
Listened to this talk. A note for myself: in AI world the system thinking will be valued the most.
Practiced this at work, by stepping back from the task and actually figuring out what the business need is and how my work can actually help.
@adriamatz Nice one. That's my main idea too. I want to build them a website so they can maybe have a leadership board or smth. Also booking a game etc.
This is great what you've done for them.
And yes, dune imperium is my favourite game
I'm a huge board game nerd and a member at a local club. They only had a WhatsApp group.
So I offered to build them a proper website. For free.
Now wondering...
Is this a smart way to promote my services?
Or should I have charged something?
My colleague today:
"Wish I had an app to scroll instead of social media, something with bite-sized learning, short stories, cool facts on stuff I actually care about."
Honestly, same.
Is there something like this out there?
Started adopting no phone in the evening π΅
Hereβs what Iβve noticed so far:
- More focused the next day. My brain isnβt craving the feed every minute
- Feeling more energized & productive
Curious to see where the next 2 weeks take me π
@adriamatz This is great!
I still try to squeeze my project after work, but at least now I'm limiting myself of checking social media all the time.
For now it works, will see how it goes
