कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष मल्लिकार्जुन खड़गे के बयान पर सियासी घमासान के बीच पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री अशोक गहलोत उनके समर्थन में उतरे। गहलोत ने कहा कि खड़गे की मंशा किसी का व्यक्तिगत अपमान करने की नहीं थी। आम बोलचाल के मुहावरों को व्यक्तिगत टिप्पणी के तौर पर नहीं देखा जाना चाहिए।

गहलोत ने 2019 में राजीव गांधी को लेकर प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की टिप्पणी का जिक्र करते हुए भाजपा पर दोहरे मापदंड अपनाने का आरोप लगाया। साथ ही, उन्होंने वोट चोरी के आरोपों और चुनाव आयोग की निष्पक्षता पर उठ रहे सवालों का जवाब देने की मांग की।

The BJP and the Central Government are so rattled by the INDIA bloc's "Vote Bachao, Desh Bachao" mega rally, to be held at Ramlila Maidan on 1 November, that attempts are now being made to disrupt the rally by using trade associations as a shield.

When the Congress and the INDIA bloc raise fundamental questions of democracy, such as vote theft and the impartiality of the Election Commission, the government, instead of answering, sometimes shuts down roads, the Metro and trains, and at other times gets trade leaders to issue statements.

I am confident that the people of the country have also understood that this fight is not just that of the Congress or the opposition, but a fight to save the nation's democracy and future, in which traders are also included.

It is now public knowledge that the Modi government can go to any extent to remain in power. When democracy itself will not survive in the country, how will traders be able to carry on their business? I appeal to the traders of Delhi to take a day off from their establishments, to protect the power of their vote, and join this rally of the Congress and the INDIA bloc, and raise their voice to save democracy.

We know it is the festive season, but the message of your step will reach the entire country. The country has not forgotten even today the role played in the freedom struggle by many large business houses such as Birla, Poddar and Bajaj.

As our leader Shri @RahulGandhi is saying, when the vote itself is stolen, nothing remains safe: neither your shop, nor your savings, nor your children's future. Therefore, this fight is not limited to political parties alone, but is about saving the country.

Shri @kharge never intended to personally insult anyone. He is one of India's most experienced politicians and understands the dignity of the office of the Prime Minister. His intention can never be to undermine that dignity.

Expressions such as "Nani Yaad Dila Dena" and "Baap Ki Jagir Samajhna", idioms drawn from family relations, are commonly used Hindi idioms and colloquial expressions that have been part of everyday Indian speech for generations. Similarly, while speaking in Parliament in 2025, Union Home Minister Sh. @AmitShah also let the word "Saala" slip out. Such expressions are not meant as personal remarks but are used figuratively to convey emotions. What Sh. Kharge said yesterday was also in the same vein of everyday conversational language. Therefore, the BJP has no moral right to create a ruckus over this issue.

Today, the BJP is talking about dignity and the use of inappropriate language. But where was the BJP's sense of propriety in 2019, when Prime Minister Sh. @narendramodi made an inappropriate remark about former Prime Minister Sh. Rajiv Gandhi, who was assassinated while working towards establishing peace in the Indian subcontinent?

Instead of politicising every issue and diverting public attention, the BJP should answer serious questions related to democracy. The way the BJP is creating a ruckus over Congress President Sh. Mallikarjun Kharge's statement makes it clear that it has no answers to the real issues concerning the people.

When people associated with the RSS-BJP performed a purification ritual on the stage after Sh. Kharge's public meeting in Haldwani, Uttarakhand, a serious question arose: why is there such hatred towards Dalits in the ideology of the BJP and RSS? The Congress had also raised this issue in Parliament. At the time, Sh. J.P. Nadda had said that the BJP would conduct an inquiry into the matter. The question today is: what happened to that inquiry? Why were its findings not made public? This exposes the gap between the BJP's words and its actions.

The biggest question facing the country today concerns the issue of vote theft and the impartiality of the Election Commission. The Congress, the younger generation and the entire opposition have been raising questions about the role of Chief Election Commissioner Sh. Gyanesh Kumar for a long time. However, Union Home Minister Sh. Amit Shah has never shown the same seriousness in addressing these questions. Whenever the opposition and young people raise their voices to protect their democratic rights, the BJP responds by linking them to foreign forces and questioning their patriotism instead of providing answers.

श्री @kharge का उद्देश्य किसी के व्यक्तिगत अपमान का नहीं रहा है। वे भारत के सबसे अनुभवी राजनेताओं में से एक हैं और प्रधानमंत्री पद की गरिमा को समझते हैं। उनकी मंशा इस गरिमा के खिलाफ कभी हो ही नहीं सकती। "नानी याद दिला देना", "बाप की जागीर समझना" जैसे रिश्तों से जुड़े मुहावरे और लोकोक्तियां भारत की आम बोलचाल का हिस्सा हैं जो सदियों से चली आ रही हैं। जैसे 2025 में संसद में बोलते हुए गृहमंत्री श्री अमित शाह ने "साला" शब्द बोल दिया था। इनका अर्थ व्यक्तिगत न होकर भावनात्मक और अलंकारिक होता है। कल श्री खरगे ने जो कहा, वह भी इसी तरह की आम बोलचाल की शैली है इसलिए इस विषय पर भाजपा को हंगामा करने का अधिकार नहीं है।

भाजपा को आज मर्यादा और अमर्यादित भाषा की बातें याद आ रही हैं, लेकिन जब वर्ष 2019 में प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री एवं भारतीय उपमहाद्वीप में शांति स्थापित करने के प्रयासों के लिए शहीद होने वाले श्री राजीव गांधी के लिए अमर्यादित टिप्पणी की थी, तब भाजपा नेताओं की मर्यादा कहां चली गई थी?

भाजपा को हर मुद्दे पर राजनीति करने और जनता का ध्यान भटकाने के बजाय लोकतंत्र से जुड़े गंभीर सवालों का जवाब देना चाहिए। कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष श्री मल्लिकार्जुन खरगे के बयान को लेकर भाजपा जिस तरह हंगामा कर रही है, उससे साफ है कि उसके पास जनता के असल मुद्दों पर जवाब देने के लिए कुछ नहीं है।

जब उत्तराखंड के हल्द्वानी में श्री खरगे की जनसभा के बाद आरएसएस-भाजपा से जुड़े लोगों ने मंच का शुद्धिकरण किया था, तब यह गंभीर सवाल उठा था कि आखिर भाजपा और आरएसएस की विचारधारा में दलितों के प्रति इतनी घृणा क्यों है? कांग्रेस ने यह मुद्दा संसद में भी उठाया था। उस समय भाजपा के पूर्व राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष श्री जे.पी. नड्डा ने मामले की जांच कराने की बात कही थी। आज सवाल है कि उस जांच का क्या हुआ? जांच के नतीजे जनता के सामने क्यों नहीं रखे गए? इससे भाजपा की कथनी और करनी का अंतर उजागर होता है।

आज देश के सामने सबसे बड़ा सवाल वोट चोरी के आरोपों और चुनाव आयोग की निष्पक्षता का है। कांग्रेस, युवा पीढ़ी और पूरा विपक्ष लंबे समय से मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त श्री ज्ञानेश कुमार की भूमिका को लेकर सवाल उठा रहा है। लेकिन इन सवालों पर केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री श्री अमित शाह ने कभी ऐसी गंभीरता नहीं दिखाई। जब विपक्ष और युवा अपने लोकतांत्रिक अधिकारों की रक्षा के लिए आवाज़ उठाते हैं, तब भाजपा जवाब देने के बजाय उन्हें विदेशी ताकतों से जोड़ने और उनकी देशभक्ति पर सवाल उठाने लगती है।

1 नवंबर को रामलीला मैदान में होने वाली इंडिया गठबंधन की "वोट बचाओ, देश बचाओ" महारैली से भाजपा और केंद्र सरकार इतनी घबराई हुई है कि अब व्यापारी संगठनों के कंधे पर बंदूक रखकर रैली में व्यवधान डालने की कोशिश की जा रही है।

जब कांग्रेस और इंडिया गठबंधन वोट चोरी और चुनाव आयोग की निष्पक्षता जैसे लोकतंत्र के बुनियादी सवाल उठाते हैं, तब सरकार जवाब देने के बजाय कभी सड़क, मेट्रो और रेलगाड़ियां बंद करती है, तो कभी व्यापारी नेताओं से बयान जारी करवाती है।

मुझे विश्वास है कि देशवासी भी समझ चुके हैं कि यह लड़ाई सिर्फ़ कांग्रेस या विपक्ष की नहीं, देश के लोकतंत्र और भविष्य को बचाने की है, जिसमें व्यापारी भी शामिल हैं।

यह बात अब सार्वजनिक हो चुकी है कि मोदी सरकार सत्ता में बने रहने के लिए किसी भी स्तर तक जा सकती है। जब देश में लोकतंत्र ही नहीं बचेगा, तो व्यापारी भी अपना काम कैसे कर पाएंगे? दिल्ली के व्यापारियों से अपील है कि वे अपने वोट की ताकत को बचाने के लिए अपने प्रतिष्ठान से एक दिन का समय निकालकर कांग्रेस और इंडिया गठबंधन की इस रैली में आएं और लोकतंत्र को बचाने के लिए अपनी आवाज़ बुलंद करें।

हम जानते हैं कि त्योहारी सीज़न है, पर आपके इस कदम का संदेश पूरे देश में जाएगा। देश की आज़ादी की लड़ाई में बिरला, पोद्दार, बजाज जैसे अनेक बड़े व्यापारिक घरानों की भूमिका को देश आज भी नहीं भूला है।

जैसा कि हमारे नेता श्री @RahulGandhi कह रहे हैं, जब वोट ही चोरी हो जाए, तो कुछ भी सुरक्षित नहीं रहता: न आपकी दुकान, न आपकी बचत, न आपके बच्चों का भविष्य। इसलिए यह लड़ाई केवल राजनीतिक पार्टियों तक सीमित नहीं, बल्कि देश को बचाने की है।

मोदी जी के स्वर्गीय पिताजी तो स्वर्गवासी हो चुके है इसलिए उनका सत्ता से जाने से कोई सवाल ही पैदा नहीं हो सकता!

इसलिए यह कहना कि उनके पिताजी के लिए बोला गया है तो वह मूर्खतापूर्ण बात है!

बात का तात्पर्य है कि सत्ता मोदी जी की बपौती नहीं है इसलिए वह भी सत्ता से जाएँगे ही जाएँगे जैसे पहले भी नेता गए है!
