one of the reason i’m likely leaving PortHarcourt tech ecosystem.
its been over a year,
and the organizers of this event NEVER reached out to us again.
“PH Tech Expo”
we were promised a deal room after the whole thing, and the groupchat was immediately changed to “only admin sending messages”
and they organized another one this year again.
and its just 1% of what we experience over here as developers and founders in port harcourt.
Terra industries founder was from here and got zero support from home.
and honestly, its not just me…
bruh.
location is a big barrier, i spent about 5+ months in lagos
and i met @the_boludada@akinkunmi@richsongocrazy@Thedanieloreofe and some other industry minds.
and everyday i see their posts about the events happening in lagos that would most likely help me as a founder.
but im in port harcourt, a place with a messed up tech ecosystem. genuinely can’t wait to leave here!!

I’m typing this as a frustrated Nigerian.
Because sometimes it feels like being Nigerian automatically closes doors before anyone even gets the chance to see what you can do.
There are platforms people in other countries casually use to make extra money from surveys, research or online tasks that simply don’t support Nigeria.
You look for international remote jobs and a lot of them are US only, UK only, Europe only, or available everywhere except a handful of countries.
Sometimes a client finds your work, loves your profile, reaches out first, and everything is going well.
Then they ask where you’re based.
“Nigeria.”
And suddenly the conversation changes or disappears completely.
You can have the skill.
You can have the portfolio.
You can have the experience.
And still lose an opportunity because of your location, not your ability.
I understand why some people are cautious. Nigerians have done things online that damaged the country’s reputation, and pretending otherwise would be dishonest.
But one bad fruit doesn’t mean every fruit on the tree is bad.
Even 20 bad fruits don’t make the entire tree bad.
So when you meet a Nigerian online, please judge the person in front of you by what THEY do.
A lot of people here are genuinely trying to learn, work, build and create a better life for themselves.
Sometimes we just want the same chance to prove what we can do.

Highly ambitious men need women who can love them through the times when they must disappear into themselves to unlock the next threshold of their becoming.
Such men are rarely chasing success alone. they want psychic expansion, spiritual transformation, mastery, financial sovereignty, emotional command, and the transcendence through levels he was born in.
Being with such a man requires transformation. You will be left alone for long stretches, because both of you are being summoned into higher versions of yourselves. His solitude becomes the furnace of his becoming, and your solitude becomes the chamber in which your own interior life is forced to mature.
Ordinary people will look at this and call it neglect, or emotional starvation, because they understand love only through constant access. But in relationships like this, love is measured by growth, support and the mutual refusal to let each other remain small.
There is tenderness here, but there is also pressure. Both people are building themselves, building each other, and building the life that will one day exceed them both.
