From a school's physics lab with a big mission… to India’s largest AI workshop for 4500 teachers.
A little while ago in Surat City, something remarkable happened.
4,500 teachers gathered under one roof to explore a question that will define the future of education:
How will AI reshape the way we teach and learn?
The workshop was organized by the Surat Private School Association in collaboration with the District Education Office, and the Education Minister of Gujarat was also present.
But for us, the most meaningful part wasn’t the stage, the scale, or the recognition.
It was the journey that brought us there.
When we started working on AI for education, we didn’t come from a big tech company so called Giant EdTech. (In fact, we’ve never liked calling ourselves “edtech.” )
Just a small team with one strong belief:
Teachers must be prepared for the Intelligence Age.
That belief led us to start the AI Teacher Mission in early 2025.
Since then, we have been travelling, meeting teachers, built big community of teachers, running workshops, and working directly with educators to understand how AI can actually support real classrooms.
Step by step, that mission has already helped more than 50,000 teachers explore practical uses of AI in teaching and start preparing for what the future of learning demands.
And that same journey eventually led to this moment in Surat.
Standing in front of thousands of teachers who were curious, excited, and ready to rethink education.
Because the future of education will not be built only by technology.
It will be built by teachers who are willing to evolve with it.
For our team, this workshop was not just an event.
It was a reminder that the transformation of education has already begun.
It was just another step in a much larger mission.

How do Alpha School students learn so effectively with AI? using their own tool/platform or general public AI? what's their approach to learning any topic with AI? appreciate any insights.
"Just give me twenty more minutes," he says, glancing back at the fish. "Then we'll head to Pinnacle."
The fish completes another perfect circle.
As if it is following a map that only it can see.
Episode 2 is coming...

It is the summer of 2056, and the morning sun is rising over the floating city of Velaara.
Leo stares at the fish inside the square glass tank for nearly ten minutes.
"Nova."
"Yeah, I've been watching it too," Nova Q replies. "And honestly, I'm a little surprised."
"I know," Nova replies playfully. "But before we explore your hippocampus, shouldn't we get to Pinnacle?"
Leo suddenly remembers.
"Oh! Right!"
Today is the day every student presents their final project to Master Agas.
A huge smile spreads across Leo's face.

This wasn’t just an AI workshop invitation. It reshaped how I see education.
On April 2025, I received calls from Amreli from unknown teachers, inviting me for an AI workshop. I don’t charge for workshops, but since it was 500 km away, I planned a few extra sessions to make the trip worthwhile.
I reached Amreli a day early to meet Miniben. Mukundbhai Mehta sir picked me up for Babapur, 20 km away.
On the way, Mukundbhai briefly shared about Miniben (Mandakini Ben), and I was honestly speechless. At 65, she manages 15 schools, hostels, and more. Her father was a freedom fighter, she never married, and she runs an orphan house where children from 1.5 years to 22 grow up under her care. She raises them like a parent, even takes responsibility for their marriages, and in the case of girls, supports them till their first pregnancy. Hearing all this, my respect for her grew deeply, and I was excited to meet her.
He added, “Since you’re a guest, your dinner will be at her home. She won’t let your expense fall on the institution.”
That line stayed with me. Even though hundreds are fed daily, her ethics moved me. It felt like Gandhian thinking in action.
By the time we reached Babapur, it was dark. It didn’t feel like an institution, it felt alive and connected.
We went to Miniben’s simple home. She carried an energy that felt driven by purpose, not age.
And Mukundbhai was right, my dinner was ready with Miniben. After dinner, we started talking.
And slowly, the story of the place began to unfold.
Her father - Gunvantbhai Purohit
He was part of the Aarzi Hukumat movement, a fearless freedom fighter who constantly challenged the British with his sharpness and courage.
His time in jail with Mahatma Gandhi led him to embrace Gandhian values and non-violence.
After independence, instead of seeking power or recognition, he dedicated his life to rural education, quietly building institutions that transformed lives.
For nearly 70 years, he and his wife served this mission like parents. He left this world in 2016.
Miniben's Mother, Hasumatiben, focused deeply on education for women. Over her lifetime, she contributed to educating more than 17,000 women.
And now, Miniben continues the same work.
Listening to all this, I was speechless. This wasn’t a normal institution.
The next morning, I conducted an AI workshop for 100 teachers, most senior but highly curious.
After the session, as I was about to leave, Mukund sir handed me an envelope. I refused, saying I don’t take money for workshops, but he insisted, so I went to Miniben.
She said: “I know about your work. You are on a Big Mission. Your mission needs fuel, take this as a token of blessing” I accepted only ₹1000 as her blessing.
I returned from Amreli changed. Strangers became lifelong bonds. I learned that a mission is not work, it’s a life. At Sarvoday, everyone was family, and Miniben still feels like a mother to me. AI can amplify education, but not replace intent and lifelong commitment.
