@itsaaroshi If you want AI that actually understands your whole codebase, switch to Cursor. If you want raw speed and GPU rendering, go with Zed. And for serious WordPress/PHP architecture, PhpStorm is still the pro's choice.

@adahstwt For web development, 8GB is enough. I have MacBook Air M2 and it doesn't pretty much everything.
If you're an app developer, I think you'll need at least 32GB as XCode and tools for mobo app development requires a lot of memory.
@TimJayas@aryanlabde Open-source models are not as capable as paid ones. Moreover, they require significant computing power, which may cost as much as—if not more than—the hardware someone would need to run a fully open-source setup on their own.
@aryanlabde I have a $10 GitHub Copilot subscription, and it does almost everything I need. I'm a TRS on Fiverr working as a WordPress developer, and I use Copilot with VS Code for about 8–10 hours a day.
@suni_code Because it doesn't require reinstalling the OS every month due to bugs, it has no driver issues and maintains better performance. It's based on Unix, which makes it a solid choice.
