@alexiskold Seems like an attack on the founder from the big VC. If the round is oversubscribed and there’s too much interest to let the earlier investors have any, then you can argue for more money instead. Just change the terms or stand tall. Maybe just fear getting in the way.
@anshnanda This tracks as one of Zucks random excitements. It takes about this long for them to release a product. Must’ve started when we first got wind of openclaw.
@Austen Ironically they are the only ones who wouldn’t need to raise money and have it cash. Though likely better to wait for a leader who is strapped for cash later and buying half+ with a large investment. No risk in failure since they can pick a winner.
@julianlehr Because both had already planned to kill the product to avoid maintenance. Tech teams were likely laid off long ago. It’s a good idea now but only if they can again sell ~600M+ new products and also figure out how to not spend too much on inference.
@JShodanVR Might be the special lenses that allow for a smaller profile. Something about growing crystals for it or something like that. Rather expensive but cheaper if done in house.
@DrewVento I think it’s been subtly changed. When I look at my now typos I see myself pressing the wrong letters. So somehow things shifted and muscle memory is hurting us. Could be spacing.
The fear comes from how other people will use a smarter AI than the one we have. Not that it’ll be sentient. More like nukes all over again. If we happen to make a smart enough AI then we could use it to thwart others from building it too. It’s just more of the same while it also takes our jobs lol.
