Ministry of Education is organising Bharat Bodhan AI conclave 2026, a pre summit event for the India AI Impact summit. The centre of Excellence in AI for Education will anchor the discussion and initiatives at the Bharat Bodhan AI Conclave.

The Bharat Bodhan AI Conclave 2026, scheduled for 12–13 February 2026, is a national platform for strategic partnership-building in AI-enabled education, focused on mapping key actors, innovations, opportunities, readiness, and scalability across the education ecosystem.

As India’s education ecosystem is transforming under #NEP2020, it enters it’s next phase. The Bharat Bodhan AI Conclave 2026 brings together policymakers, academia, startups & industry to shape how #AI powers learning at scale, responsibly and inclusively.

A landmark step in expanding access to quality education!

The establishment of 57 new Kendriya Vidyalayas has been approved by the Cabinet. It is gladdening that KVs will include Balvatikas, nurturing children from the foundational stage. Several students will benefit, alongside the creation of many jobs. This is in line with our commitment to inclusive growth, particularly in aspirational districts, the Northeast and other remote areas.

#CabinetDecision: The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi, has approved the opening of 57 new Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) across 17 States/UTs to meet the educational needs of wards of Central Government employees. A significant boost to quality schooling across underserved and strategically important regions, reinforcing the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

Key Highlights:

✅ Total Schools: 57 new KVs under the Civil Sector
✅ Budget Allocation: ₹5862.55 crore over 9 years (from 2026-27)
✅ Student Capacity: 86,640 students to benefit
✅ Employment: 4,617 direct permanent jobs + additional jobs through construction and allied activities
✅ Inclusivity & Access: Schools to be set up in aspirational districts, LWE areas, NER/hilly regions, and districts with no existing KV
✅ Foundational Learning: For the first time, all 57 KVs will include Bal Vatikas (3 years of foundational stage)

As exemplar schools of #NEP2020, Kendriya Vidyalayas continue to deliver quality education with modern pedagogy, strong enrolment demand, and outstanding academic outcomes, ensuring national integration and equitable access.

Hon’ble Union Minister for Education, Shri @dpradhanbjp, will grace an event as the Chief Guest at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya, Fort William, Kolkata, West Bengal, on 29th June 2025. The event will mark the distribution of footballs under the Football for Schools (F4S) programme.

Joining him will be the Hon’ble Minister of State for Education and Development of the North Eastern Region, Dr. Sukanta Majumdar; Hon’ble Minister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shri Shantanu Thakur; along with other distinguished dignitaries.

As part of the initiative, 2,467 FIFA footballs will be distributed to 348 schools in the Kolkata district. In the subsequent phases, footballs will be distributed to schools across West Bengal.

The Football for Schools (F4S) programme, spearheaded by Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), aims to promote football at the grassroots level by making the sport more accessible to students within the school system. In India, the programme is implemented by the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, with support from the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and the Sports Authority of India (SAI).

F4S aims to integrate football-based activities into education, encouraging participation from all students, regardless of gender, through collaborative efforts with key stakeholders.
