Taylor Dearden speaks with TV Insider about her asexual friends, the importance of ACE representation on screen, and her personal headcanon for Mel:
“I have friends who are asexual or aromantic, and I can guarantee they’ve never seen themselves, so much so that they start doubting a lot of things about them because they’re like, ‘Well, it doesn’t seem like it’s a thing.’ It’s like, ‘No, no, no, it is.’ And I think there’s also something so beautiful in it, and I think those who are not asexual think of it as something to feel sad about, but the truth is it’s all about companionship and friendship, and it’s such a lovely thing, and it’s just something that isn’t talked about. And I just see that for Mel.”
@BlackBettyNyaha@TheDragoonQueen That wasn’t what the post was about though. It said millennials didn’t have Walkmans and land lines. Nothing about the internet.
So glad I don’t do fandoms anymore because what the actual fuck is going on in the fandom of my latest show? Which I’m not going to name bc holy crazies.
And yes, I’m fully aware that they had whatever before she came to work for him, but that wasn’t a relationship. He repeatedly told her no.
Sorry, I could write a whole term paper on this.
G S R. She was creepy obsessed with him. He showed absolutely no interest. All of a sudden they were together and it never worked and the whole rest of the series (and the reboot) was centered around the relationship. 😞😞😞
(And just using this gif in a tweet makes me 🤬)
Actor Jeff Daniels on Donald Trump: "We’re supposed to elect the best of us, not the worst of us. He’s everything that’s wrong with not just America but being a human being.”
RETWEET if you stand with Daniels against Trump!
