Police officer is trying to convince him, but this arrogant man is not even looking at him..
In the end, just look at how he is tries to instigate the other protestors
Got a hair cut via Urban today morning. The barber has been in Mumbai for sometime but is from Azamgarh. Works six days a week, morning to night and earns around a lakh rupees per month after his basic travel expenses. Said there is no dearth of opportunity or jobs, just need to work hard. Said wouldn’t take an entry level government job even if offered as he likes his work and autonomy.
I asked him about UP. He said earlier it took 7-8 hours to go from his village to Lucknow. Now you can do a round trip in that time while stopping for lunch and tea. Added that your glass of tea is unlikely to spill on the highways - they are so good. Was very happy with the development work in the country. Said in the village his family got some scheme benefits but not in the city. Told me TDS is deducted so he proudly files his returns and often gets refunds.
Has one son who he sends to a private pre-school and wife earned extra but is currently on break given the kid is small. I felt like telling him that he must let go of this toxic positivity about India and his life, and he must pronto create an account on X and Instagram to receive the “correct” opinions about our ostensibly ‘failed’ nation - but I didn’t have the heart to say that to him! ;)
What Muslims need to learn from Japan:
America bombed Japan at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Japanese intellectuals did not call for revenge. Instead, they acknowledged that Japan had bombed Pearl Harbor, America had retaliated, and the score had been settled. Chapter closed.
Japan then became an American ally, focused on the resources available to it, and thrived. From Toyota to Nissan, from Sony to Panasonic, from Hitachi to Toshiba—Japan proved its mettle.
Pakistan helped divide India. India then helped Bangladesh in 1971 against Pakistan. Chapter closed.
But Pakistani ulema and intellectuals chose revenge, and Pakistan eventually collapsed economically and politically.
The Muslim League carried out massacres against Hindus in East Bengal in 1946. Then came the Kashmir insurgency in the late 1980s and 1990s and the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits. In the early 2000s, communal tensions continued to flare in India. Those chapters are closed. Done and dusted.
Forgetting and moving on can be a blessing. Clinging to old wounds, nurturing grievances, and seeking revenge only keeps societies trapped in the past.
Think about it.
Bit in shock after that one. An incredible battle, and grateful to be heading to another China Open final. Most importantly, wishing the injured spectator a speedy recovery ❤️🩹. Also sending thoughts to @DaniilMedwed. I’ve been there.
See you tomorrow, Beijing. Idemooo
Dear Hindus,
I knew very little about your religion.
I was so immersed in studying the Abrahamic faiths because I’m insanely in love with the Holy Bible that I never gave myself enough time to learn about Hinduism.
But through my friendship with the Hindu community in the UAE, I have encountered something that means a great deal to me: a profound respect for human life, coexistence, and building together.
That alone is enough for me to approach you with respect and a genuine desire to learn more.
The God I believe in is the God of Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, and Jacob, the God whom the prophets called the God of Israel.
Israel was the personal name given to Jacob in the biblical tradition by my Creator, and his descendants became known as the Children of Israel. The Jewish people trace their identity and history through this ancient Israelite heritage and their deep connection to the Land of Israel, including Judea.
And I believe my Creator wants us to work together around what we share rather than kill one another over where we differ.
We can thrive together.
We can build together.
We can prosper together.
God will judge us when we die. Until then, we have been given this beautiful planet and the opportunity to know one another, help one another, and as Michael Jackson so beautifully urged humanity to heal the world and make it a better place.
As a proud friend of the Hindu community in the UAE, I wish you nothing but the best. I hope we continue building together, investing together in AI and high tech, advancing science and innovation, and making our beloved UAE as close to heaven on Earth as human beings can make it.
This is what I believe my God and Creator, the God of Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, and Jacob wants from me.
And I will do my best to fulfill it.
Those racists who use the word “Indian” as a mockery or as a term of inferiority have souls that have not embraced the spirit of God.
Racism is ugly at its very core.
And “Indian” is a compliment.
If you’re Indian and someone throws that word at you as an insult, tell them:
“Yes, I’m Indian like Captain Smit, who helped save innocent lives. I’m Indian like the brilliant men and women who have pioneered in high tech, AI, medicine, science, and countless other industries that serve humanity.”
Never allow someone else’s racism to turn your identity into an insult.
Wear it with pride.
God bless the beautiful people of India. 🇮🇳♥️🙏🏼
This kiss on the head of our amazing and brave pilot, Captain Smit, by Sheikh Hamdan, Crown Prince of Dubai, is a kiss of gratitude on behalf of the entire UAE.
Captain Smit, if you read this, I’d be honored to meet you, kiss your head as well, and shake your hand, my brother.
During a visit to Captain Smit Machchhar… the flydubai pilot who embodied the highest degrees of courage, responsibility, and care for human life.
From us, and from the leadership of the nation, he has our full appreciation and praise.
We are proud that he is part of our team… part of the story of our nation… and part of what the UAE stands for… a nation of compassion… a nation of peace… and a nation of life.
His Highness the Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, personally went to kiss the brave pilot on the head. The honor, humility, and chivalry of the UAE leadership are truly unmatched.
The world is about to see what zero tolerance for terrorism actually means. The UAE does not hesitate, does not make excuses and does not go soft.
If you commit an act of terrorism here, you will face the full force of UAE justice. 🇦🇪
Sorry to interrupt your Sunday, friends.
I really hesitated to write this, but if I don’t speak up today, I will be facing a severe financial crisis within a week or two.
To be clear, I am not asking for charity or financial help. I am asking for work.
I have been completely without work for the last three months. My last project ended on June 30th, and since then I have knocked on every door I know—calling, texting, meeting contacts, and following up.
People say they will try, but after that first talk, the silence takes over. Calls go unanswered or get cut after a couple of rings. I honestly don't know whether the industry is shifting because of AI or if my age (52) is working against me, but despite over 13 years of solid experience in the field, nothing has materialized.
Now, my savings are down to the very end. I can barely hold out for another week or two.
I am a professional content writer, translator, and speaker who is comfortable on stage and in front of the camera. I write and translate fluently across Gujarati, Hindi, and English, with Gujarati being my strongest suit.
Many of you already know my grasp of politics and my political writing, but I am equally adept at covering Bollywood and cricket. My priority is media houses, digital platforms, or publications, but I am open to any genuine writing or translation opportunity.
I can work remotely or take up assignments on-site anywhere in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, as I need to be close to my elderly mother to take care of her health.
Because my situation is urgent, I am especially looking for quick-turnaround freelance assignments or immediate projects where payments can be settled on submission.
If you or anyone in your circle has work, please reach out to me directly in my DMs.
A humble, earnest request: while I deeply value your warmth, please refrain from sending just "best wishes" or "stay strong" messages right now. I am fighting hard to stay out of a very dark headspace, and right now, only actual work leads can pull me through.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you for your support. My inbox is open. 🙏
⚠️ New details on what happened inside the Flydubai cockpit, in Captain Smit Machchar’s own account to the Israeli PM:
1️⃣ The flight was normal. The co-pilot said he wanted to pray, something Machchar says was not unusual among local pilots.
2️⃣ Machchar faced forward while the co-pilot prayed behind him.
3️⃣ Four or five minutes later, Machchar says he was suddenly struck hard on the back of his head.
4️⃣ His first thought was catastrophic aircraft damage. Then the blows kept coming. He realised it was the co-pilot attacking him.
5️⃣ The initial blows left his vision severely blurred. He tried to fight back, but says he could barely see.
6️⃣ His next sensation was the aircraft plunging sharply. His memory of these moments remains fragmented.
7️⃣ He recalls managing to open the cockpit door once, but says the co-pilot apparently shut it again.
8️⃣ Lying on the cockpit floor, he could hear the aircraft rushing through the air and passengers screaming.
9️⃣ Machchar says he realised he had “one last fight” left. His thought was brutally simple: if he didn’t act, he was going to die.
🔟 He threw everything he had into reaching and opening the cockpit door. People outside were waiting to pounce. They entered, control was regained.
Over 2 years now, nobody in his family knows why he has been imprisoned by UAE authorities. He has 2 kids!!! I don’t know who can help but somebody please help
