Manchester United paid Ruben Amorim £8.2 million in compensation. Figure would have been higher (up to £16.5m) had Amorim not taken the Milan job.
Exceptional items for the year ending 30 June 2025 were at a cost of £36.6m.
This figure includes costs relating to the club’s restructuring, including Erik ten Hag’s departure, and additional contributions to the Football League pension scheme deficit.💷
United's biggest problem: what happens to good players after they arrive.
Last 12 signings pre-summer:
Lammens, Sesko, Mbeumo, León, Cunha, Heaven, Dorgu, Ugarte, Mazraoui, De Ligt, Yoro, Zirkzee
Bar Lammens, nearly all have lost value here.
Not bad luck. It's been 10+ years.
🚨 Manchester United CEO Omar Berrada statement.
“We are pleased to have secured record revenues and adjusted EBITDA which demonstrates the underlying strength of our business, particularly in a season without European football”.
“This shows the direct impact of the work we have been doing over the past two years. It also proves Manchester United’s enduring popularity and commercial strength. While these results confirm that we are on the right trajectory, we will continue to take a disciplined approach to ensure our finances remain sustainable”.
“With that financial sustainability in mind, we have strengthened both our men’s and women’s teams during the summer window and our men’s team has seen the return of Champions League football to Old Trafford”.
Judging United's progress based off Arsenal was premature.
Amorim is VERY stubborn. Once manager's catch on to his direct approach, and his inability to innovate, it will be really hard to break teams down. A team with more quality than Fulham could've destroyed us.
@AimanAthani Fair. GK is also a pretty sensitive position. Have to get rid of Bayinder/Onana and get a solid one in.
Just feel that we don't have enough depth in wing-backs for Amorim's style of play
Again, that's the third striker we now have who is a "potential" player.
I really like Cunha and Mbeumo as signings that will help right now, but Sesko is still pretty raw.
If we don't bring in a midfielder/wing back now its gonna be bad business.
