My friend Scott has a severe brain injury and no income for 4–10 weeks while waiting for worker's comp.
We need another $5000 for him to survive the next couple months. That's only $20 from 250 more people. Let's make it happen!

I know Scott just made an update a couple days ago, so normally I wouldn't update again so soon, but he had a stroke in his sleep yesterday.
He's now waiting for appointments in Edmonton be set up to hopefully find some answers and keep it from happening again.
Right now he needs some basic necessities: groceries, and a few household essentials like laundry detergent while he follows doctors orders to rest.
Thank you so much to everyone who has continued to help, donate, and share over these past months! It truly has made a difference.
This is Charlie. His human was attacked at work permanently disabled. He need some help with things for Charlie: https://t.co/dTO9Dr0rtX
Charlie has lots of treats, but he's totally out of wet food.
Thanks for helping & sharing!

What a mess. The @YourAlberta government and Premier @ABDanielleSmith own this, throwing dynamite into a stable system and creating chaos, not out of pragmatism but ideology. We don’t need zealots running government, right or left. We need good governance, and include health professionals opinions before slashing and burning. *Note I turned off comments due to ranting separatists, racists and other wacko types with 14 followers, looking to post only for clicks. #abpoli https://t.co/gamo3miO21
@ChrisMartin1961@acnewsitics They think poor people are just lazy moochers. It's part of the whole prosperity gospel bull. They think they could never possibly ens up poor because they're super special snowflakes and that every one who is poor did something wrong.
Scott, a dad in Yellowknife, faces home loss after a 2023 work related brain injury. $1200 needed by Oct 31 for his mortgage. Even small amount add up. https://t.co/ByWooS9KGY #MutualAid#EmergencyFund#assistance#helpinghand
I just want to cry. He really, really, really needs actual help. $2500 in property taxes overdue. House going up for auction. No food, no heat. Please, please share and donate. Even $20 each could make a huge difference! https://t.co/j9QwrbmjJs
including being part of our military when he was younger, & this is how his country repays him- leaving him hungry and close to homeless because someone nearly killed him when he was at work.
@MarkJCarney@RebeccaAltyNWT How is it that, with all our supposed safety nets, a man who was severely disabled working in Yellowknife - who has been lied to, had medical care neglected by, and then abandoned by worker's comp can end up being let down by every agency out there
worse & more permanent injuries than he had in the 1st place.
I shouldn't have to be desperately trying to find people to donate just so he can eat and keep his home from freezing, never mind actually keeping his home. He did everything right
My heart is breaking & I'm nearly crying at my complete failure to keep my friend going until he gets approved for disability or worker's comp stop being complete asshats & pay him what he deserves. He needs food, he needs fuel to keep his water pipes from freezing, again.
If I could raise another $5k he could keep holding on until Jan. And then I see fundraisers for far less pressing things getting $22k in 4 days and it hurts. I've been fighting so hard, for the entire year and not come anywhere close.
Men pointing out women typically play single player puzzle games and sims like babe yea because you call use slurs and scream at us in the FPS lobbies what the fuck do you expect (doesn't stop me but still)
Rising food insecurity and cost of living means income supports for Canadians living with disabilities are needed now more than ever. You can help lift Canadians out of poverty by sending a letter to your MP today! https://t.co/k4vpxZ7OX9
