Patient autonomy is a cornerstone of ethical medical practice. The RDA, Safdarjung Hospital, stands in solidarity with Mr. Sonam Wangchuk and expresses grave concern over the damage to public trust and the reputation of our institution due to his continued restriction despite seeking LAMA. We appeal to the administration and the Government to enable his prompt discharge while ensuring his safety and well-being. Doctors must never be perceived as instruments of coercion. #PatientRights #DoctorPatientTrust #SafdarjungHospital #SonamWangchuk
In a landmark feat, #Safdarjung Hospital is going to start CRITICAL CARE CLINIC (for follow-ups) for the first time in India. The online follow-up clinic will be available in the e-Sanjivani OPD portal on Tuesday and Thursday from 10 am to 11 am.

Healthcare doesn’t collapse overnight. It collapses quietly, through diluted standards, compromised regulation, and public apathy — until one day it reaches your hospital bed.

#WATCH | Delhi | President of the Federation of Resident Doctors’ Association (FORDA), Dr Devaunshi Kaul says, "The intent was to fill up the vacant seats, the 18,000 seats that are left vacant inside the healthcare infrastructure, but we have to draw a line somewhere, putting the cutoffs down to zero percentile is not justified at all. This is not a entry level exam. We are talking about specialists, postgraduate doctors, so a basic level of cutoff should be established; otherwise, even if we keep diluting these cutoffs to a bare minimum, we are diluting the kind of doctors we are producing for the health care of the future... Yes, we have written to the ministry, but we have not received a reply. Also, the third round of counselling has already started. We are planning to escalate it further in any way possible with other doctor communities as well... Yes, we are up to discussion for this (protests), that we might have to escalate this because nobody in the ministry is willing to listen" (16.01)
Debate over NEET PG percentile drop: Can a 'zero' score save lives? Do we want doctors at any cost?
➡️Dr Rajeev Jayadevan defends the move, says zero percentile does not mean zero marks.
➡️Dr Devaunshi Kaul strongly opposes the dilution of standards, says if a student cannot manage basic cut-off marks after five years of rigorous training, the whole education of MBBS is failed.

Government must ponder deeply at this decision, is the decision to have even Zero in qualifying marks for MD seats in the reserved category serving Public interest? Is GOI protecting the public and public interest by this decision? @PMOIndia@narendramodi@dpradhanbjp@mansukhmandviya What is the message this is sending to general category students who do not get a seat despite being in the top 10/20%? Is society fair to them and serving public interest by having Zero as qualifying markers for some in the reserved category? Is this fair to students in the reserved category who have worked very hard, got good marks and got in? Is society not better off having a minimum say 10/20% Less than the general cut off @TheThomasSowell would argue it is unfair to those who get Zero marks, get in, in highly competitive area, and need to face a very uphill struggle to
Make a mark. Points to ponder in an honest open debate across India. @mansukhmandviya
FORDA (Federation of Resident Doctors’ Association) strongly condemns the arbitrary reduction of NEET PG cut-off scores; urges Union Health Minister JP Nadda for immediate intervention.
NEET-PG cut-off at −40 marks.
It is an institutionalised risk.
One wrong diagnosis. One wrong incision.
And the headline won’t blame the system — it will blame DOCTORS.
Years of trust, erased by a policy decision.
Lynching and violence will increase.
Patient safety is not a social experiment.
Lower standards today = irreversible damage tomorrow.

After being exposed on #SharkTankIndia , This quack has now removed the “Dr” title from his name.
The country is already fighting a serious battle against fake doctors and rampant medical misinformation, which endangers lives every single day.
On top of that, the government now wants to push the NEET-PG cutoff to –40, effectively dismantling the very foundation of the medical system.
#neetpg2025
As per decision by @MoHFW_INDIA
Now candidates obtained -40/800 (Negative Marks) can also take part in NEET PG counselling & can take admission in Postgraduate Courses.
Level of Medical Education in India🙏
FORDA condemns the arbitrary reduction of NEET PG cut-off scores, calling it a move that undermines meritocracy, transparency, and public trust, and urges immediate intervention from Union Minister JP Nadda.
