Elon Musk says AI is about to hit the most physical bottleneck possible:

power plants.

That is what makes this clip interesting.

Dimon asks about SpaceX, Starship, and the next phase of growth. Elon does not answer like a software founder. He immediately goes to energy, land, power plants, satellites, and the Sun.

His point is simple:

If the United States wanted to double electricity usage, you would need roughly twice as many power plants.

Most communities do not want that in their backyard.

So the bottleneck is not just intelligence.

It is where the intelligence can physically live.

Then he jumps to the part that sounds insane until you follow the math:

AI data centers in space.

His scale is not 10% more capacity or a better data-center layout.

He says human civilization uses less than a trillionth of the Sun's energy output.

You could increase harnessed energy by a factor of a million and still use less than a millionth of the Sun.

That is the real lesson in the clip.

The frontier keeps looking digital from the outside.

Inside the system, the binding constraints are still physical:

power,
land,
chips,
packaging,
bandwidth,
permission,
capital,
and proof that the infrastructure can actually work.

Most people see AI and think about models.

Operators see the constraint stack underneath the model.

That same mistake shows up in insurance.

People think wildfire pricing is mainly a prediction problem. Better model, better score, better ZIP code estimate.

But prediction is only one layer.

The physical system still has to be visible to the market.

A property can have better defensible space, stronger materials, cleared fuel, and real mitigation work. If that work does not become underwriting evidence, the insurance system cannot price it properly.

That is the bridge Andrew has spent years building around wildfire risk.

Make the invisible visible.

Not as a slogan.

As infrastructure.

Because whether the subject is AI power or wildfire insurance, the market does not reward effort it cannot see.

It rewards verified capacity.
