@bleednucksblue I think if the Mets do trade for a SP it'll be someone like Detmers rather than someone like Joe Ryan or any Seattle pitcher available.
@RJP_RAR 2 years later and Yankee fans are convinced he still wants to play for the Yankees because he did a handshake with some kid. The same handshake he does with Ronnie Mauricio and Carson Benge among others.
@bleednucksblue He is improved defensively at 3B however at one point was a -3 OAA and -3 FRV, he also reportedly did not want to play 1B so he was out anyway
@_Ceyzey Well DBacks did try to trade him and you can see why they were not getting the value they wanted. And this Ketel is everything that some Mets fans accuse Lindor of being.
@bleednucksblue@TJStats I think Sal Stewart has had a fine season however the way some, not saying the OP is saying this, you'd think he's having the season Nick Kurtz had last year
@NickConnorsNC@GamingGiggity@DraftKings It was not a minor surgery he needed to repair a GLAD (glenoid labral articular disruption) lesion and a torn labrum
@bleednucksblue Still #1, the OBP and SLG are both 50 points higher or more, OPS over 100 and Iโd guess player #1 is in the 160-170 wRC+/OPS+ range compared to player #2 135-140 wRC+/OPS+
@deGromiNation48@bleednucksblue@RSAdiamondtales How do you know? The Mets have no attachment what so ever to Semien. The Mets have are in a soft tank right now and will very likely tell him he's going to come off the bench next year or be traded/cut. They have 3 viable replacements for him next year in Rojas, Pitre & Voit
@deGromiNation48@bleednucksblue@RSAdiamondtales There was an opt out after year two like the same structure as it is with the Dodgers, so it would have not blocked Ewing long term and they could have put Ewing at 2B. That's why you draft and develop athletic players with power upside.
@bleednucksblue@RSAdiamondtales Yeah for what I get it was two fold: 1)Give Carson Benge run in RF and 2) It is far easier to cut Semien after 2026 than it would have been to cut Nimmo after 2027/28
@bleednucksblue@RSAdiamondtales Well when you get your info from WFAN you would think this. The Baseball Prospectus guys had mentioned almost after the Mets signed Soto they wanted to get out of Nimmo's contract and this past off-season like between 25-27 teams it was hard no for Nimmo and his contract
@RSAdiamondtales@bleednucksblue No team wanted to take Nimmo's contract besides the Rangers, it's amazing how you still don't get this. It's not fantasy baseball, that contract horrible the second it was signed for the Mets.
