Everyone is talking about distribution as if it's the biggest problem of the AI era. Partially true, but not 100%.

Distribution has always been a problem for founders. Before, you had two problems:

1) Building
2) Distribution

Now with AI you eliminate 1) building as a bottleneck for software companies (not for deep tech, where IP still matters), and you're left with: 2) Distribution.

Now that building is easier, more people have access to developing a product, which creates more competition. The SaaS/app market switched from a high barrier to entry → low barrier to entry, hence closer to perfect market competition.

With more competitors, distribution becomes harder. But new GTM tools are making it easier. Whether these cancel out depends entirely on which camp you're in:

a) You already built your distribution channels pre-AI → you're now a master of it, easier than ever

b) You're trying now → it depends on your business acumen and how well you leverage GTM agents and other tools

In case of b), you've either cracked it through AI tools or personal relationships, or you haven't.

If you have → you compensate for the extra competition and win.

If you haven't → you're in a worse spot than pre-AI founders. Same hard distribution problem at step 2), plus more competition, with no GTM expertise or channels to offset it.

@AnthropicAI keeps launching new features. Yet after 10 Claude Code questions with Opus 4.8, you finish your 5-hour section if you’re on Pro.

How can non-rich people use all these new features (becoming rich is not the answer I'm looking for)? If they keep launching, there’s going to be one question per new tool unless they increase token allowances.
